too funny

So I made some cookies, (they were the best cookies I have ever made) I'll post the recipe soon on my other blog. carter gets a cookie everytimes he poops, which isnt all that often. The kids Hates to poop he holds it in for days, its ridiculous, anyway, back to the picture. so he snuck a cookie and said "mom i need to make bubbles" aka pee. and I went to check on him and found this. why wait to eat your treat when you can make bubbles and eat at the same time?

its late a few random thoughts

i need to be folding laundry, maybe I should vacuum, but instead I've been surfing the web, and looking at facebook. I was very anti facebook in the beginning it was SO LAME, but then I got a new phone and it makes facebook way to easy. I take a picture and its like "do you want to put this on facebook?" i think sure why not! if I dont do something with it it will end up my phone forever and then disappear into the nothingness that is my memory SD card on my phone. so i put it up, and I have become a facebooker. I am slightly ashamed to admit it, but i'm coming out of the FB closet. i have never had a hip new phone, i feel like I am on the edge of cutting technology its pretty awesome, i'm not gonna lie. anyway. just thought I'd share.

Also, i have realized a lot of times I call my children by number. "hey shaun can you get #2 some Sunny D" (that is their new favorite beverage) or "#3 is potty training" does this mean i have too many kids? to change things up a bit sometimes we'll say "6 isnt in a good mood" or
"2 just hit 4." Names... Over-rated! i hope they don't get a complex....

Not babysitting is so awesome! not that babysitting wasn't fun, but i have had my fair share of that kind of fun! 4 kids of my own it fun enough! i feel like the world is my oyster! granted that oyster is only open for errand running between the hours of 10-12:30, when ellie is finished nursing and before carter takes his nap. then he sleeps til 3 and kailey comes home and 4 kids errand running isnt as easy as 3 kids. but those hours. wow, just knowing IF i chose to leave the house, I CAN! its liberating. not always fun but its nice to know i can

there are a LOT of go getters out there. I think I just need to face the fact. I am not one of them

I need to enjoy being a mom. its funny but everyone here looks at me and I feel a lot of pity, not bad pity but "man you sure have your hand full" or "wow are these all yours?" or "that looks like a lot of work" aren;t exactly words of encouragement. the other day at Taco Bell of all places. some old people were leaving as my entourage (me with 4 kids in tow) entered they said "You are so lucky" and "those are beautiful kids" and the taco bell lady who took my order said "you are so lucky, not everyone can have 4 kids ya know" and gave us free cinna twists. the epiphany came. I am lucky, so lucky. I have 4 healthy,happy, young, pretty well behaved kids and I get to be their mom. it may be hard in public places, and a lot of work, but I am so Lucky/blessed to have them as mine. and I need to appreciate them young because soon they will grow up. and that will just be sad.

My kisses heal anything. Carter is the sweetest kid ever, and he thinks my kisses fix anything. i LOVE it. he falls or scratches his head or leg he says "momma kiss it" so i do, then the tears stop and he plays again, or he says "no here, kiss it" and points to the exact spot so I kiss it, and all is better. Only mine work, not shauns, and i kinda like it that way. he's my mommas boy. (is it mamma or momma?) oh well. he also wants to be whereever I am. he'll grab his toys and follow me around the house. I think he likes me. the feeling is mutual

oh what a tangled web we weave

You remember the story about "I love you girl" well. let the drama begin! Shaun's out of town and today after going to taco bell for dinner and Marble Slab for dessert ( I don't cook while he's gone) Kailey said that she had something embarrassing to tell me.

Mom: what?

Kailey: you wont laugh, right?

Mom: no, i promise

Kailey: promise, because its really embarrassing.

Mom: ok i promise what is it?

Kailey: I think I'm falling in love with a boy

Mom: oh really?

Kailey: Yeah i think i'm in love

Mom: who is this boy? how do you know him? Is he in your class? Whats his name?

Kailey: i dont know his name. he rides the bus.

Mom: do you sit by him? you dont know his name?

Kailey: No he sits by the kid who always says "I love you girl" and Tillman and only 3 people can sit in a row.

Mom: oh really?

Kailey: i think his name is Davis or something. i think he's 6 or 7

Mom: Does the other kid still say I love you girl?

Kailey: Yes!! he still says it ALL the time!

then we talked a bit more but so funny! i can't believe she said she thought she was in Love?! I asked her who she told and she said, Jordan, and one of my friends on the bus. I guess I should be lucky I'm still in the know! i wonder how long that will last? Not long if she knows I'm blogging about it now! haha

let the fun begin

Last Night my neighbor invited the kids over for dinner and a movie. They got dressed in Ariel PJ's and watched the little mermaid with Connor, while eating mac and cheese and nuggets. I got to stay home and have some Ellie time, until I went and got carter for bed. She gave us a few things Connor outgrew and Carter couldn't wait to try it out! he got a spider man helmet and knee pads, along with a few other things. he rode his bike around our entry, it was pretty funny

Kailey and Jordan started Dance/Tap today they looked so cute and loved it. Jordan also is in swim lessons and they both start tennis next month! i'm gonna be busy!

Potty Training #3

Carter turn! With Shaun out of town, i decided if I'm going to be home alone I might as well make the best of it! so Monday morning we put underwear on! the first thing he did was go behind the bouncer and pee on the carpet behind the bush. fun clean up! so we rushed him to the potty and he kept going. It turned into a game and every min he'd ask to go again. He must have had a lot of liquid in him because he managed to go most every time in the morning. then the afternoon it was maybe 1 success out of 10 "mom i have to go potty" but at least he was telling me! we went to the pool for Jordan's swim lessons and he asked to go while there and he did! He didn't have an accident all day! so we braved underwear at night. After waking up wet we tried day 2. not a single accident... he did manage to poop in the shower with Kailey. I heard Kailey say "CARTER! I would have taken you!" it was pretty funny. he stayed dry at nap time and we was dry morning 3 (we did a diaper to be safe) and now day 4, we are still doing good. #2 is hard for him, he can't quite get his timing right, but at least he tries and knows its coming. we went to the beach and taught him how to stand up and pee. that was all too fun for him. and we put goldfish crackers in the toilet to practice at home. I'm amazed at how easy this has been. granted I've been at home, alone, and near a toilet 22 hrs of the day. congrats carter! keep up the good work. I'm really hoping he doesn't digress later its been so easy!? any tricks on getting him back on regular #2 schedule?

My days seem to go so fast!?

I got a new camera and have been taking tons of pictures but they dont get put on the computer. here is what we have been up to the past week... these are all camera photos so they may not be the best quality
Labor day morning. trying out the new eats in the area.

Labor day at the pool. the water was actually kinda cool, which was nice. everyone had goggles on so he needed his too.

low tide and lots of beach. the tiny dots are Carter, Shaun and Jordan. these were considered "big waves" because hurricane Earl was off the coast. they were like 3 ft. it was pretty pathetic!

The girls have been big on crafting lately and want it all displayed. i love the fridge! there is one of Ellie that Jordan made and cut out. I'll have to post separate because it isn't up in this picture, but Ellie's head is huge and she looks like an alien

our chaise has gotten plenty of use! if Jordan isn't in the "bad dream bed" carter is. The other morning when i woke up i saw Jordan had made a bed on the floor with blankets, i had no idea why until i saw that this was in the chaise. maybe we need 2? or they need to just learn to stay in their rooms! at least they arent waking me up and climbing in my bed right?

This kid sweat like no other human i have met, so sad. it looked cool outside so we headed to the park. apparently "looking cool" and "being cool" are not the same here in SC. it was 84 with i swear over 100% humidity. so by the time we left we all needed a change of clothes from sweating. good thing its socially accepted down south.

we found the only shade in the park in the blue tube. (the planner of the park apparently didnt think about shade) cater loves seeing himself in the camera. I love his huge smile here. it was on video mode and he kept waving to himself. his wave require the use of his entire arm, its hilarious.

the days seem to fly by? who knew that would happen when school started. kailey leaves at 6:55 and I may or may not go back to bed for a bit? after the morning routine, 3 kids go down for a nap or quite time around 12:30 or 1, and kailey comes home around 3, homework, make dinner, shauns comes home and then it seems like its time to put them in bed again!? go to bed, and repeat.

who's poopy

Carter has been saying some funny things lately:
when he wakes up in the morning he comes in and says "mom, i had good nap" followed shortly by "can you get me sum dinner" in hushed tones. he means breakfast, but every meal to him is dinner? and for some reason he always whispers it?

the other day he was holding Shauns cell phone and Shaun asked "Carter do you have my phone?" when he instinctively threw it across the room and said "no, i dont have your phone daddy"

I need to potty train him, hes to the point where changing it is just gross, and smells bad. but whatever, i'll deal with that when i'm settled in. I have 1 box of diapers left. The other day we smelled him and said, Carter are you poopy? (usually he says yeah, sometimes no) but today he said "no, i not poopy momma, dordans poopy, change dordan" i said "jordans poopy? i dont think so, i think its you" he replies, "no i not poopy mamma, change you!" the kid is hilarious!

i need to write more of these down.

Carter isnt a fan of getting his picture taken anymore? this is our new bed set, the nightstands and bed is new. This is what we got in N. Carolina. the nightstands were just under 200, but if you buy them at a store they are 1200! not a joke. we scored in this deal! we're considering selling them and making some money!? and thats our new chaise Lounge chair aka Jordans bad dream bed.

don't mind the totally rad green blinds? gotta be something weird in every room right?

Laundry "hall" not so much a room

our little hallway/laundry room, its actually pretty wide for a hallway. it also serves as out family photo center/calendar area. there really isnt too much wall space for the things we had up in our last house. lots of things are staying in boxes. its downstairs which is a total bummer but whatever. I get my workout brining clothes up and down right? this view is coming in from teh office into the kitchen

well, its 99% done. I still need 2 candles on my fireplace and maybe some greenery but overall the room is complete. I also in need of a ginormous rug, or new carpet, but we overlook the stains, its a rental right? it was hard trying to decide what to put on the white walls, but overall, it feels like home again. hopefully tomorrow my desk will get here and then all we will have left is the garage! dun dun duuun (how do you make that sound effect??) I will get a few of the exterior some hallways, and the master bedroom but for now. this is our living space. come see it!

ps. played Shaun in tennis today yeah totally owned him. i expect many more nights like tonight! Labor day= sleep in, donuts and bagels, sams club and driving around, tennis and swimming, what more can you ask for? i'd say winning but I already did that! boo ya!

Jordan loves playing with the camera. she is always asking to take pictures. i find it funny that in 98% of the pictures she takes I'm in the kitchen either cleaning or cooking. the other 2 % i'm sitting on a couch.

the other side of the room. there are those storage closets which are empty because we dont want to have to bring everything up and then back down

here is the girls room, its technically called a "Frog" meaning finished room over the garage. its pretty large, perfect for all the toys and bunk beds. the only bad part is their bunk bed doesn't fit in the designated space for a bed so we had to put it on the other wall, and there is a fan right there, if it was turned on it could decapitate her, good thing we know how to keep it off!

once again the walls are white so we make do, its cute and functional, what more can we ask for?

i know how anxious everyone is o see my half bath, but unfortunately I dont have any other rooms finished all the way, i'm working on it! so here it is in all its glory, another wallpapered room, the last one, so sad they all arent this beautiful!
