After Christmas in Big Bear

There wasn't much snow but there was a tiny little hill that was good enough for the girls!! Here is Lily going down on her sled!
Mom and Dad In the cabin getting ready to make hot chocolate and watch a movie. We did some reading as well, at one point every single one of us (9 adults) we all reading, it was pretty funny, we are just getting old!

Shaun and Kailey. He was the pusher and she was actually a lot braver than I thought she would be!

Mom and Jessie after hanging out in town. Jordan was NOT a fan of sledding. We sent her down anyway to toughen her up... may not have been the best idea, especially by herself! it was pretty funny, she tried to get off but then was afraid to move! no wonder she hated it the next time we went! We are such mean parents!!!

Kailey and Lily! best cousins! they definitely got to spend a lot of time together over December. Lily successfully turned Kailey into a girly girl! They dressed up and played kitchen and princesses ALL DAY EVERY DAY! she now loves to put her Cinderella dress on and play with her vanity!

Not my best picture but i have several excuses! 1. I'm pregnant 2. i woke up like 10 min earlier 3. it was freaking 15 degrees outside!!! Jordan would not let me put her down after her little sledding experience!
We were only there for one night and a day and then headed out to Clyde's we had a lot of fun but we also had the snow at home to not look forward too!!

The Crack is everywhere!

And She's done...
Well while in California we went to the beach in December and built dolphin sand castles and dug holes for us to bury the kids in while we napped... ok not napped but they did get buried. It was pretty funny. I thought I would post the Crack Picture first because its just a classic Kailey pose. when is her crack NOT showing??
Dad Making Sand Castles and trying to get them as dirty as possible
Kailey and Jordan buried! Jordan was ok with it for about 3 seconds and then she was ready to be free

Jordan was afraid of the sand at first but then decided she really liked it. She even didn't mind the really cold water!

We're Baaack.. kinda

Well we made it back.. kinda. we went to Hawaii had the best time ever and then came home. I was supposed to come home on Sun and then turn around and drive back to Cali for Christmas but in the end Shaun and I decided it probably wasn't worth the extra 20 hours of driving and 200 bucks in gas, so he flew home as planned and I am still here, i will be here until next year! CRAZY! i have not been gone for that long in a long time! Now i am at my dad's perfume shop trying to earn some Christmas money because i wont be babysitting! fun fun! actually i like the shop! I would post some pictures but this computer doesn't have the right connection to my camera so maybe next time.. anyway. in Hawaii...
We got there and they said it was the worst storm they had had in over 20 years, worse than any hurricane.. awesome! half the island was out of power luckily not our hotel so it was bad, but it turned out OK, we got there for the last 2 days so we did things anyway, it was still 85ish and shorts and T-shirt weather so we hiked the seven sacred pools (and witnessed a really cool flash flood and then decided our trail was going under and we better hurry back) then we went to a pineapple plantation, snorkeled in the rain, and then it decided to get sunny, so we went on a helicopter ride of the island and Molokai, then laid out and got tan, i am sure it will all be gone by the time i get home but Shaun said "you like a lot better with a tan" thanks Captain Obvious! who doesn't? it was funny. We had some friends come over from the big island and played games and laid out, we drove up the Haleakala crater and did a little mini hike. it was so nice! it was really hard to come back to reality (aka KIDS) but i don't think i have ever seen Kailey so excited to see us! she came with my dad to the airport to pick us up and was practically out of the car jumping when she saw us. it was cute. So now we are here is 65 degree weather instead of 85 degree weather and thankfully not in 25 degree weather! I think we are sold on moving back to California.. someday..... so now we get to buy Christmas here and Shaun gets to bring me a lot of stuff because i wasn't prepared for the long haul stay! anyway. i hope you all enjoyed my novel! and enjoy the weather where ever you are! pictures to come soon...

Seeing Santa

They told me I wasn't allowed to take my own pictures so i did it anyway and they are blurry but, i think this is the first time Kailey has seen Santa, so obviously it was Jordan's too. Jordan was a really hesitant until she got her blanket and then was fine. Kailey did good, she went straight up to him and told him she wanted a baby alive doll and a vanity, which she got from Santa!

Helping Grandpa Rake the Leaves

Well, i cant believe it is almost 10 days into the year already! We are getting by, but man trying to start the new year off right is hard!!! I don't know if any of you set yourself up with goal that keep you busy, but man... not being lazy is hard! Kailey made herself a few New Years resolutions all by herself. 1. learn to ride a bike 2. learn to write the alphabet and 3 (my favorite) Eat and drink everyday!

Anyway, these pictures are when we were in Cali staying with Shaun's Dad Clyde. He raked the leaves and put Kailey i the trash to smash them down... Jordan wasn't the biggest fan of the idea

Hawaii Pictures

This was the first day we got here, it was raining on and off and I thought it looked like the sun wanted to come through but just couldn't quite make it! The other is of Shaun and there were crabs ALL over the rocks, of course when i took the picture they all scattered, the water is so murky because it was the worst storm to pass through in over 20 years and the run off from the mountains was red and made the water look disgusting! We went on an AWESOME helicopter ride!!! Amy and Ryan (friends from California who moved over to the big Island) cane and visited us for a good 36hrs. and they came with us. it was so pretty, it rained of course but it was still really pretty and the waterfalls were bigger because they had so much rain. They also said it was a lot greener because of the rain. The last pictures was on "the road to Hanna" at the 7 sacred pools. We saw a few hikers on our way up that told us not to go and that the trail was washing out. we hiked up to the midpoint (about 3 miles), and we noticed the waterfall seemed to quadruple in size and the trail we were on started to disappear and became a river so we decided to head back down. .. flash floods, not my thing. but it was so pretty and really fun, we were soaked through all layers of our clothes but it was still about 70. I don't think it would have been as fun if it hadn't have been raining so hard! I guess we will have to go during dry season to test that theory out?!!

Well believe it or not we didn't take too many pictures in Hawaii, As you will see I mainly took pictures on the days it was rainy... i guess we were too busy to bring the camera down to the beach the other days? It was a lot of fun even though the weather wasn't the best the entire time. I would go back in a heartbeat!!!

Dear Santa

So for the past few weeks we have been talking about Christmas and Kailey has started to ask for presents and I told her we will write a letter to Santa and put them on her list. Yesterday she wanted to make her list..... I tried to write down the exact things she was saying, it was pretty funny. We had to go before she could finish so "the list isn't finished yet" she said there needs to be 45 things. Also she wanted to color it, hence the drawings all over the paper.

FREEZING!!!

So its freakin freezing here! we went up to SL for the evening to stay with some friends in their condo and to look at

the lights in temple square. well on the way up it decided to start snowing which is nice because things are pretty with snow, but oh my coldness!!! Jordan wouldn't keep on gloves and by the end of the night was crying because she couldn't feel her poor little fingers! Luckily i had one of the hats that Velcro around the head or that would have come off too!!

The lights were pretty but not as magnificent as i remember them as a child, there are a ton of lights but they are spread out. It was fun though, who goes to stay the night on a Tuesday night just for the heck of it? Shaun and Jed (the husband of the people we went up with) had to leave at 6:30 so that they could be at work at 8am. not fun for them! but it was fun even with the cold and lack of sleep!

To be like her daddy

Awesome hair!! and cool glasses the kid wanted to be like her dad so she put on the cool aviators too!
its one of those days!?!! when your house is a mess, its cold outside, the kids are under my skin and i don't want to be babysitting... not cool!!!

The cowboy comes out!

I thought I would post a few pictures of Shaun because lets be honest this really is the Kailey/Jordan Blog... anyway, the first is of his totally rad aviator glasses he insists on are really cool... i big to differ, but whatever. The second was at a Halloween party we went to, pretty awesome! he has been looking for a hat to fit his extremely large head, and we finally found one!!!

Happy Late Thanksgiving

well, its almost DEC! i really cant believe it! it seems like it was summer and now its 32 degrees and freezing? who would have thought, i will say I am glad that the weather has stayed nice for so long! after the long weekend of having Shaun home and no babysitting it isn't the most fun thing to come back to! its fine and all but i didn't mind having Shaun put up lights and fix things around the house with his dad (thanks Clyde!) we put Thanksgiving away and got Christmas stuff out! I don't have to much but oh well, less to get dusty.
So Kailey is big on Christmas shopping right now, she started out with a list of 5 and then after a day of shopping has upped her list to 45. smart kid!!! The other day we were also talking about age and she was saying something how i was 25, i corrected her and said, no I am 26 now and she looks at me and says "oh, I'm sorry" like i was this totally old lady! it was really funny though... i know a lot of funny things have happened and been said but you can never remember them all!!! only 10 days until we are off to Hawaii!!! yeah!!!!!

Kailey's 1st pictures!

she got a hold of the camera and started shooting pictures of Jacob, she took like 5 all surprisingly not to bad. maybe because Jacob kept switching the pose?

Bath Time!

They love to take baths!! any time they hear the water, shower or tub going they run to it! Kailey tries to take her clothes of fast so she can get in and Jordan usually just tries to climb in with clothes on, she doesn't really care!

Matchy Matchy

When my mom was in town she got them some fuzzy matching pj's Kailey is BIG into looking like Jordan, if I get Kailey dressed first and then put something on Jordan that she has she wants to change, kinda annoying if its after the fact but cute none the less....
They have had this for awhile but just recently fell in love with it, they are on it all the time!!! Jordan loves it
One of the kids I babysit brought their rocking horse too they liked riding next to each other.

This was Jordan's mad face, she has gotten really good at giving dirty looks!

Here was first clue

The girls are super excited! Kailey jumped on me the other day and then asked "mom, did i hurt the baby?" and she always says " mom, is the baby mad?" it does make it easier though to be like "yes Kailey the baby is mad not mommy" but i don't want to start sibling rivalry already!

I took this test about 8 days before i was suppossed to miss my period. The line came RIGHT up. this baby is making me hormonal.. poor Shaun

numero tres

Well, I think some of you know, but It happened again! I got pregnant! I am not too far along so its still a little scary to get to excited but i am anyway, other than I don't feel so hot! I am 7 1/2 weeks along and feeling it!! With both Kailey and Jordan morning sickness was just something i heard about but now it is VERY REAL!!! and NOT FUN! I mean i always felt bad for people who didn't feel good but this just sucks! anyway, i went to the Dr for my first apt. yesterday, things look good, this was the worst picture she took, you can barely tell it is anything, but oh well... there it is. Maybe the sickness means boy? I don't know what i would do??? but i guess i have 9 months to prepare!

A Few Things To Remember...

Well, no pictures today, but I wanted to write a few things down before i forget them!!! Kailey has been on a roll of saying such funny adultish things, and she is starting to have a little talk back attitude and has become a TV addict!! we are going for no TV shows for her but its hard because she doesn't car what she watches as long as its TV so when i say no she can't watch one of her shows she replies " well, then how about we just watch one of your shows." yeah smart move!!!
So Tuesday was a hard day for me, totally tired not feeling so well and i had kids to babysit so i was talking to my friend and told her i hard a rough day, or something of the sort. Anyway, Jessie came over to babysit while Shaun and I went to the temple and to a Haunted forest. We skipped out on the forest seeing as it cost 16 bucks! NO THANKS!! While we were out Kailey had told Jessie "I had a rough day, well it wasn't that rough just really hard" Jessie replies " why was is so hard?" ( i am sure in a what is this kid talking about voice.. but curious for the answer) Kailey then replies "Well first the batteries on my pumpkin died and no one knew how to fix them" SO FUNNY! A 3 year old taking what i had said earlier and applying it to her "rough" life.
Wednesday brought 2 funny stories I told Kailey the plans of the day:P gymnastics, wal-mart, the bank errands then go home.. so i took her to gymnastics and while she was there i ran to Wal-Mart, when I picked her up i told her we were going home to meet Shaun for lunch. she started crying and said she wanted to go to Wal-Mart, i told her it was OK, i had bought her yogurt. she asked if i got everything on "the list" (we are big into lists and she likes to make her own) I told her yes i did and she replied with "mom I love to go to Wal-Mart, they have all the good food I love there.." so i promised we would go later. i just thought it was too good to forget. Later than night we got ready for trick or treating and went out with Jess and Zac about 5 houses into it Kailey asked "Mom can we just go home, i don't want to go to anymore houses" what kid doesn't like getting candy???

Anyway, I will add more pictures tomorrow... hopefully!

TRICK OR TREAT!

We borrowed tigger for Jordan to get a costume that fit!!! they had a BLAST it was so funny, Kailey had a chocolate mustache for the whole week it seemed and Jordan learned to say trick or treat and thank you from just one night of asking for candy! its not so audible to the normal ears but i know what she's saying!
Jess and Johnny came over and we made some Awesome BBQ pizza's and took Zac, Jordan and Kailey out around the block while the men made the dinner :) Saundra and Wes and family came over for pizza's after they hit their own neighborhood. it was a fun night and not even cold! i think its the first year yet with no snow or freezing weather!
The kids new the drill. Jordan loved to have the basket of candy over her arm, and now still grabs my purse when she can. she would grab her own candy then walk into the peoples house. it was so funny because she practically walked into every house!

Happy Birthday To ME!!!.. Conference and Pumpkin carving!

The other day we went to the pumpkin patch and came home and painted them. Shaun's was a handsome one... Poor Jordan missed the fun because she was sleeping but Kailey say in for her

Not my best picture.... or my best pumpkin painting. to give me some credit i had just been running
Kailey LOVED painting! she wasn't so keen on the idea of painting a face or anything for that matter, her goal was to just plain old paint it colors and she did a great job!

This was on Conference Sunday, our neighbor got a rock wall and the guy did it only during the 2 sessions. Notice his 5 year old son hanging out on the heavy machinery, he also had a 7 year old son driving a different machine.. i guess the 7 year old did something wrong and the dad gave him and all who were in yelling range a few nice words to ponder during conference, all of them were about 4 letters if you know what i mean....
This is Jacob's "girlfriend" he probably wont be to happy about me posting his love life on my blog, but hey.. he never looks at it, and shes cute so who cares right??? Her name is Deidre, very nice

Well, I am officially 26, OLD I know! you know you are old (and fat) when you want a treadmill for your birthday! i love it though, try to use it everyday, it works so well to hang clothes up on and looks so pretty in the corner of the room! jk, i do actually use it for its purpose, to make me sweat. There are no pictures to remember it because husbands don't do that type of thing and i am not going to whip out the camera to take pictures even though i can get mad at him for not... such a mean wife. ( i mean of the birthday not of me running)
