This one's for Heather

** Warning- this post contains all talk of poop, if you don't want to read it, that's fine by me**

Yesterday i decided to take Anna on my morning run/mostly walk with my friend Heather. (I'm the lazy one here, Heather can run the whole time, i on the other hand am working up to it!) It's 7am and by the time i get to her house Anna decides to poop in her front yard, yeah i know awesome! so i clean it up because it is socially unacceptable to leave dog poop anywhere. and off we go. today we decided to go again, this time its freezing and pouring rain and no dog. so we're walking and come across something that looks like this... Yeah that isn't dog poop, it's horse poop, much bigger and more disgusting than dog poop and it is smack dab in the middle of the sidewalk. OK a. why is a horse on a sidewalk? b. why is it OK to not pick up horse poop? it was right near the school where kids need to be walking on the sidewalks, and i have seen these "treats" in the road and all around the neighborhood. i mean seriously, from now on no poop picking up for me! it would take Anna a good 3-5 days of pooping in the same spot to come up with a load that big. yes i know this is a gross post but seriously. all you horse lovers out there. this Dog owner thinks you need to start picking up your horse poo. end of story

Home again home again Jiggity Jig

There was NO space! Jordan was asleep ON the floor (see next picture) so I had to have my legs up.
Shaun again, getting his sleep while all kids sat on my side, this time there was no kid shows either and the stewardesses (is that a word) were NOT very nice. she kinda yelled at me when i gave her a diaper that was only wet. so i left it on the plane! OK not really she came back for it and said it has to be in its own bag? whatever lady!

and we're back...

I don't know which is worse, him burying him or me watching and videoing?

Duck tours... whoo hoo

Boston from the Charles

Jessie and Chris on the Duck Tour boat
We had the last tour of the night so it was right at sunset, Very pretty!
Kailey got to drive the boat while we were on the river
Do we look like we have our hands full??
Boston by duck tour here we come
We were told to do the duck tours, it is a tour by land and sea. it was fun, Jordan slept through it all and our tour guide talked about the traffic and his grand kids, not as much history as we'd hoped but it was still fun to actually go out on the river

Apple Picking

Another beautiful day
This was the worst part of it, Apples kept getting stuck in the stroller, it was pretty funny

Jordan hoarding her apples
Carter snacked all along the way. I think this is the first time he actually ate fruit!
They had ladders everywhere so you could go up and get your own apples
Where's Callie? can you fine me in the tree?
Shaun getting the goods
Kailey and Jordan

They also had a really cool hedge maze. The best one I've been in and really good apple donuts! yum yum! Got to Honeypots for some good apple picking! unfortunately we couldn't eat them all and left them at Jessi es. We'll have to go back

Wingaersheek Beach Gloucester MA

I think this was my favorite day...
Neither Shaun or Jessie wanted to go. They said it would be cold, that no one had heard of this beach but we went and it was beautiful and warm and the sand was amazing! mind you i love collecting sand.. ( and I like being right!)

The tide was low when we got there and we climbed the rocks and played in the mini tide pools. there were dogs running all around the water and Carter loved that! the water was a little cold but definitely do-able. The girls loved that!

Me and Shaun

I don't know if you can tell in the picture but Kailey was covered in the sand, It was silver and so fine I told her if she covered her body in it she would be a mermaid. By the end of the day we were all mermaids.
Jordan posing on the rocks with the lighthouse in the back
Carter was a fan of the sand, water but especially the dogs
The tides came in and we left it was sad. The family photo

The Freedom Trail and Fraggle

We Had a great Tour of the city on the Freedom Trail. We walked about 1.5 miles around the city through the cemeteries and to the famous historical site and got a lot of history. there was still a mile and half left but maybe next time? Above is at Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market place and below is where they first read the declaration of Independence. Pretty neat if you ask me! Parking was ridiculous! it was 35 bucks to park for 3 hours! note to self: don't live in Boston, or at least don't drive while there! we took the T another day and it was much better.

Boston Harbor
Monday we had lunch with Fraggle. I got to meet his wife and had dinner with them a few more lunches. It was nice to have both friends and family there to hang out with!

I Think I'm going to Boston

The group at Chinese food
Below is Kennybunkport, Maine. It was very marshy

But very pretty. We got there right as the sun was setting
The cliffs and shoreline is pretty different from California's! I'm not wanting to jump in that ocean!
Shaun and Chris collecting sand for our sand collection. It was pretty much rocks
The Bush's house in Maine. Apparently there were there...
We ate at Nunan's Lobster, Shaun got the 2 lobster special. too bad we aren't really fans of seafood. but someone had to get the lobster while in Maine right? After dinner we headed to Jessie house on Harvard Business school Campus...

To the Lake!

It was a beautiful trip! very green. I have never seen a rainbow from start to finish that was so bold. The picture doesn't do it justice

Kailey and Carter on the car trip. We were really lucky Jessie and Chris had a big enough car for all 7 of us!

Walking around Wolfboro. it was supposed to be cold but it wasn't! it was low 80's and perfect, we got lucky
They had a wooden boats speed race going on so they lifted the boats in and out of the lake with a crane, it was pretty cool to see these old wooden boats floating in the air
Our view from the backyard
Jessie and the girls swimming in the hot tub after a boat ride into town. Chris's parents let us stay at their Lake house, it was a lot of fun, definitely one of the highlights of the trip. Thanks Ron and Debbie for your hospitality
This is Shaun's face when i told him i didn't want to get in. (I'm not a huge hot tubber) but the face got me in the water. We would sit in hot tub then jump in the lake, it was a really warm lake for mid September!
There were trees everywhere, it was so pretty. I went for a run and felt like i was in the forest it was fun. we played some tennis, walked around town and ate alot!
The girls favorite part was swimming!
