Another day in Pradise

I noticed my blog following has dropped to 9, to those of you who have stuck it out... I'm sorry, I will get better at posting but I can't guarantee the material will be all that exciting. I feel like I have such long days, so much to do and so far they have been flying by. Week one of school is officially over. Now we will begin the part of homework, sports, and all that other fun stuff. I went to bed at 9:00 last night, I was too tired to even watch and episode of Nikita, yeah, that tired. I swear my head hit the pillow and at 6:15 am. I felt like I hadn't slept at all. The kids got up and dressed and for some strange reason as soon as we get to the bus stop the kids decide its "go time" and start playing tag. for real. They were playing tag at 6:45 am. why??? oh well, in about 2 min that energy wont be my problem anymore.
Question Time: do people really feed their kids hot breakfasts? I actually know some do, because my mom did it everyday of school I can remember, but how?! I can barely up early enough to get my kids up and dressed before we miss the bus, they are usually walking to the bus with an Eggo or piece of toast. hey, that's hot, does that count? Most of me wishes to be that mom, but apparently, the other part of me, the part that likes sleep better has won this battle. I don't know how my mom did it, I truly didn't appreciate it, I can remember countless times throwing my egg McMuffin, or croissant sandwich out the car window (don't judge I was a teenager.) I was not a breakfast person, never have been, still am not. But my kids might be... guess we'll never know.
Today Ellie told me she was tired and asked if we could take a "nap" at the pool, awesome idea. She said "i'm tired, can we take a nap. Actually... lets take a nap at the pool, you like to do that don't you" smart kid was playing to my weakness of being lazy AND getting a tan. One of these days I will put that on our list.
Yesterday we went to the gym for the 2nd time I asked her if she had fun: " yeah.. I mean NO, i don't EVER want to go back there again" me- "well we have to go back, how else is mommy going to exercise" "well... I guess you are just going to have work out at home..." it was so matter of fact it was hilarious.

And now pictures. our week involved...
1. baking. This was my pro bono cake for the week, getting my name out while sponsoring an art studio

      2. Soccer started. Carter was SOO excited. so far he has had 2 practices and both ones he has cried.. first he couldn't get the ball away from a girl because he said "you know that last practice that got rained out... I think that girl went, or has played before" so cute. and today.. I don't know, i think he got kicked?? he's pretty good, just need to toughen up those feeling a bit. I have one sensitive, very sweet boy.
 3. Decker- nightmare child. he is getting 6 teeth in the past few days. 4 molars and 2 bottom teeth. He is a fountain of snot and drool. He also is the worst church goer ever. I had to sub in primary and Shaun had to teach young men's. hopefully primary got the hint not to ask me anymore as he cried and flailed on the ground for almost 2 hrs. about 10 min before the end of church they finally took over my class and I drove him around until he fell asleep.
 4. I got a date with this kid. we went to TGI fridays. She is one chatterbox, who loves one on one time, they all do and love their mommy date nights.
 5. Ellie likes to abuse hunter. She loves to lay on him, pull his tail wake him up. For the most part he handles it ok. except today when he bit her shirt... she did have it coming...
 6. Off the bus. the long hot bus ride home.
7. I would post a picture of Jordan doing something here, but she was grounded all week.. we've had a few problems with stealing... another story for another day.

Its that Day again...

6:00 the alarm went off and then again at 6:09 NOT READY FOR THIS! but alas, summer is over, school has sprung? 3 kids in school full time this year, pretty sad last night as I tucked them all in and told them what I remembered about kindergarten, 2nd grade and 4th grade. Carter is lucky to be in the same class as his best friend Ryan, and he has Ms. Schuck. Same teacher Jordan had. Jordan knows no one, and had Ms. Leach, Kailey's old teacher, and Kailey has Ms. Lentz and knows a few friends. Jordan could barely sleep, Carter was scared, so cute. It makes me sad that its just part of life to be scared and face things on his own. Ellie wants to go to school so bad, I told her I needed her home with me and she said "no you don't you can stay home with Decker and Hunter." thanks kid. Yet as i took her to the gym this morning, she wouldn't stay, even with Decker. so fickle! she didn't believe me, the Gym was her school. tomorrow we'll bring her backpack :) that should do the trick. So now I get to create a huge list of things I "intend to do" while the kids are gone, but lets be honest. If I shower. I'll be lucky. Everyone will be lucky.
Jordan looking all spry for the 2nd Grade!
Carter about to rock K-C (notice Ellie in the back... haha)
My 4th grader! where has the time gone?? she would not even look at me when I asked her to take a picture with her teacher. I was lucky to get a desk picture, and walk her to class!?
Just leaving for the masses and the Laurel Hill/Pinckney school loop.. oh wait, I am the masses!
Off to school. there go my babysitters, off to learn!

Oh, Hello there

I forgot I had a blog. The other day I was thinking... I wish I had written in my journal more, and done something with my pictures... oh wait. I had a blog. Blessings I had forgotten about. It seems like it has been so much easier to just take pictures on my phone and Facebook them, or instagram, but the ease of knowing its all in one spot, with text and info is pretty priceless. I REALLY need to print it out.. add it to my list of things to do.. And I have found that Facebook and Instagram are really good at sucking you in wasting time. So can blogging, but hopefully it at least has more value.. who knows?
To start. Its August school starts in 9 days, WHAAA???  I will have 3 kids in Full day school. weird. I wonder if I will be as productive as I am hoping, or if waking up so early will just lead to day naps and going back to bed after walking the kids to the bus...
The dog: yes we have a new dog. Makes me sad to think of Anna, she was a good dog, very independent. Hunter is a puppy, and a really good one, but in the last three year i have forgotten that when  you have a dog, it is this thought that is constantly in your brain. where is the dog, did you feed the dog, take the dog out, what is the dog doing.. dog dog dog.
I have a business. whoot whoot. I am loving it too. The Sugar Fix: home baked goods made to order. the last 5 months its has kept me the perfect amount of busy, I wouldn't mind getting a little bit more busy, but its good. I'm not sick of it in the least and really like it!
My kids are like real people: Kailey is reading books that I read, and occasionally comes downstairs with a new hairdo or make-up on. Jordan has become best buddies with Carter. Ellie has not grown out of terrible twos yet.. working on it and Decker KNOWS he is the baby. they are so funny and witty. thy must get it from me :)
Well. I am hoping with the school year I will get a little better, a little more organized, and a little more productive.. we shall see...
