Buzz lightyear was a favorite. Grandpa was so helpful in getting fast past tickets, taking ellie, and even waiting for us with some kids while we went and did a few other things. We didnt make it on a single "adult ride" but thats ok, we had fun hanging out with grandpa clyde. We had a park hopper so we saw Aladdin, Playhouse Disney, took the girls on tower of terror (note to self: its a scary ride for children 6 and under.) everytime we get in a real elevatore now Jordan asks "is this one going to fall like the one we went on at Disneyland?" i may have traumatized her? we saw princesses, had lunch, and went on as many rides as 4 kids and 3 adults could on a mildly hot summer day. (about 10)

Carter got his afternoon nap in with all the commotion. the kids did great!

i love this picture, for all the times carter plays dess up, he isn't quite as excited to meet the princesses as he thought! he is holding her hand not looking too happy, or maybe he knows it isnt the real Ariel?

The big highlight of the day was meeting the princesses, pretty much all we needed to do, everything else was just filler

it isnt a vacation without climbing on counters and making cookies! Jessie had a baby shower and we supplied the dessert, not a problem! we are good at desserts! eating them,making them, nto so much sharing them....

High School friends

here is me with Ellis, Jaime and her youngest Brooke, and Lori borrowed carter for effect. I have plenty of kids to go around!

it always fun to see high school friends, actually these are friends from elementary and jr. high. why make new ones when you have good ones already? i got my hair done and saw Eve, DeAnne and Ashley from college one day. I was good to reminice about the good old college days and catch up. They make me laugh to the point of crying, and if we are lucky we can even get eve to pee her pants! I went to Becky's Baby shower and saw how cute she looks at 8 months pregnant. she wants to go 2 weeks over her due date! she is CRAZY!!! then Lori and Jaime and I had Los golondrinas (delicious) and figure out what everyone is up to from high school. There are always certain restraunts we love to eat at, so i had plenty of time to hit them all up, at least once!

i need to upload some pictures, i've been pretty busy. I'm in california, had a little stop in St george and said goodbye to cousins. its sad not knowing when we will see people again, especially family. we've been swimming, had a bonfire at the beach, gone shopping, eaten at my favorite restaurants. but Shaun isnt here so it isnt as fun as it could be. we have a few a week or so left before out totally awesome 6 days road trip. carter decided he needed to yell everything from the back seat on out way here. it was fun to say the least. there will be back posts later but for now the update will suffice.

Vacation in Cali. here we are at a bonfire at dana point with my mom, Carries family and Melissa White and family it was fun to roast smores and make hot dogs. the beach is just always fun.

Saying Goodbye to cousins

i thought this was so funny, Kailey's face is so cute. these guys were all so close! and there are a lot of them!

this was the saddest part of the whole thing. looking back seeing all the cousins its pretty sad thinking about leaving what close relationships we had. moving here having no family within 4 hours! now we are here and have no friends, but we're working on it. everyone seems VERY friendly but we will definitely miss Mike and Wendy. We love you guys!

too many goodbyes

unfortunately we didnt see them enough when we lived there, so we just have to plan trips!!! Britt and Syd met us for a pool party and the girls, who barely know each, got to be friends and then say goodbye. we should have rethought that... I feel like i took avantage of how much family and close friends i had in Utah and now I get to start all over? we all know i am not exactly mrs. make new friends. sometimes old ones are just easier? I hope i get visitors, or at least phone calls? we didnt even talk that much, good thing we know we're close right britt!

ode to Jacob and Deidre

There is a special place in my heart for Jacob and Deidre. I feel like we owe you BIG time!!! you are amazing, the best helpers/brother and sister in law ever! i am expecting negative comments from about 4 other people, and the other sibling never read this so i dont expect to hear anything from them. totally won favorite status. you were the biggest help we could have asked for! Jacob and Deidre drove all the way from st george to help us pack and clean. Jacob and Shaun packed the truck and re-packed the truck when we realized we have so much crap it wouldn't all fit. and Deidre helped me clean the house for pretty much 24 hours. then we made them sleep on an air mattress. yeah i know we are awesome hosts! Thank you so much. we are currently looking for a job for both of you out here to so we can help you unpack next door!!

Casey came to help

I said I was starting where I left off... it was way back when i was packing.

Casey and the boys came to visit and help me finish up packing. it was a lot of work,and I was sure glad to see her. we packed a room or 2 a day and she came for about 2 and 1/2. this day we took a break and went to the vetrans pool. Jordan and Kevin got along great and Kailey LOVED playing with carter. I dont get one on one with casey very much so I was nice to get to see her and spend soemt ime with her before we headed east.

sad to say goodbye

it was really sad saying bye to all our friends. Kate and Heather took me to dinner the night our truck came. We had some fun trying on clothes at nordstroms and going to eat. i'd post a picture but a. I dont have them, and b. i doubt they'd want them on my blog! We had one last dinner and hang out with Jess and Jon and the boys. it felt like any other time but at the end we pretended it wasnt the end. its so sad not knowing when we will see old friends again! we all cried. we will truely miss you guys jess! Best friends are hard to come by!

Slacker, i know, but i've been a little busy! i did have a baby and i am moving in like 8 days! so cut me some slack and i'll post everything that we've been up to, and its been A LOT! i'm taking a bit of a break from packing. i feel like that has been my life!

The Stadium of FIRE!!!

well, with only a weeks left here we have been trying to live up the Utah experience we took for granted all the 11 years we've been here (yeah 11, crazy!) so I bought field tickets to the stadium of fire, i got a great deal on them, then i woke up and thought, hum, maybe i can sell these. so i sold them and made 100 bucks! so i bought cheap tickets and got the whole family in for like 40 bucks! which i was glad. i'm not the hugest Carrie Underwood fan. It was fun and the kids loved it! Carters eyes were glued to the fireworks and the girls liked the field show and the singing. but come 11:00 at night they were beat. i didn't have my camera at the show so i took a picture of the patriotic sleepyheads! you gotta love carter face. he just wanted to be in bed! ellie slept the whole time. she was GREAT!
