Jessies......

Well, i know its a blurry picture, but i found it fitting to post the news! Jessie is engaged! if you look closely she has an engagement ring on her finger (she kept putting on the wedding band too but we told her she had to wait for that, she is a little excited!) The Big day is September 27th 2008! she seems way to young to be getting married but hey we all looked young when we were engaged?! She is marrying Chris Harrison (he is in some pictures of the past) i must have known it would work out when i posted him! we love him already, i will miss her living so close to us and the free babysitting, she is/was totally the favorite aunt, too bad she will be moving to San Diego :( and lose her title!

Back posting!

So I am going to be posting from my trip to Cali! it was great! it went by really fast but it was so good to see my old friends ! Now i am back in Utah, no pools in peoples back yard and hot! I started babysitting again, its fine, i guess its just back to the grind! We had a lot of fun we went to the pool, beach and even Mission lake one day! We all got a little sun and very tired! I Unfortunately I tried to be health conscious and didn't get to eat at all my favorite restaurants but i got the main 2 BJ'S pizza and Los Golondrinos SOO good! maybe next time we will hit the others... Baja Fresh, Pasta Bravo, Ruby's, Stix, Togos. I have a lot of favorite places to eat!

Jordan Running away from the waves, the water was actually pretty warm, she loved running to the waves then away from them.
She kept saying " c'mon mommy" with her little wave of the hand it was hard to resist!

It was so funny, I had brought snacks and she wanted some so she would eat them and put her sandy hand in her mouth, she would start spitting to get it out then use her other hand (just as sandy if not more so) to wipe the sand off her tongue, only making matters worse, it was hilarious to watch and she never quite figured out she was causing the problem

Well, we went to the beach for a "photo shoot" of the girls in tutu, the pictures turned out so cute, but since i didnt take them, they wont be posted, you'll have to come over to see them! We stayed at the beach and it was a blast! SO EASY! the girls were intimidated by the ocean water so they pretty much played in the sand for a few hours!

Oh the memories! as a kid this was what we did every summer walk to the swim club and hang out all day! i dont know if parents we just more relaxed back then or just didnt care for their kids, but i swear i was like 8 and my siblings like 5 and 3 and walking a few blocks to go swimming by ourselves.. does this strike anyone else as odd? Anyway, it was always fun and we are all still alive? I get to relieve these memories when i go with the kids but it isnt quite as fun, i am constantly watching the girls, and rarely get to lay out and actually enjoy swimming heaven forbid lay out! one day i will get to do that again but it will probably be a long time from now. I thought these pictures were pretty good examples of how mom's/ grandma's feel while bringing kids to the pool. everone climbs on and you are trying to keep 3 toddlers above water while the older kids hop on because they know its annoying? Paige was also hanging on to Grandma but got off her back before i took the picture.
Jordan doesnt seem to be quite as happy to be held like this as Kailey does..

We only did the swim club once, the next few pool days were at Barb Cook's house (my sisters mother in-law) It was so much easier! i could put Jordan and Carter to sleep while Kailey had a step all around the pool while i actually got to lay out. Kailey became an excellent floater/swimmer in the matter of 3 days! Thanks Barb! When we got back to utah we decided to go swimming, i told Kailey and she starts jumping "I want to go to Barb's pool!" i wasnt really up for the 600 mile trek back to Laguna so we went to Veterans instead! A different kind of fun.

I have started exercising again, every time i run Kailey wants to do it too. So she gets her socks and shoes on and walks for about 5 min. she is dedicated, she goes about a 1/4 of a lap but i am proud of her for being so health conscious! When I do my weights she gets her little pink 1 ponders out and we do them together! so cute!

Well, here we go I have never been tagged before thanks DeAnne, I would like to think people know lots about me so i will try to surprise you....
1. I am a list maker. If something gets put on a list, my goal is to cross it off.. Something about making a list and crossing it off makes me feel pretty darn good about myself. Sometimes I will write and re-write list just so that i get to cross things off ( i never put things I have already done, I only write a new one to leave off the crossed off thing defeating my purpose or crossing off an entire list) I know weird. I make one everyone night before bed, something i learned from the fly lady and in my efforts to be a perfectionist. wish me luck i am far from it!

2. I talk to my family at least once a day, not just my mom but normally 2-3 sister and at least one brother, if not all my my siblings. I don't know why but either they call me or I call my mom, my sister Carrie and then through out the day call the rest of them, it is probably habit, but i love talking to them. I normally have nothing to say just hi, and then see what they are doing and tell them the monotony of my day (usually babysitting and cleaning, followed by dinner making) but when i don't talk to them it feels like my day is missing something, call me crazy, i love my family (and I usually talk to Shaun about 3 times a day too)
3. I love food! it is my weakness and the reason i am not able to lose my extra pounds... The other day someone said she thought she had an eating disorder because when she eats something, she sees or thinks of something she also wants to eat. totally me! i center things around meals (mainly the dessert part) my sister and I joke because at like 11 am we both think "what should i make for dessert?" and i normally have plenty of stuff on hand to whip up a quick dessert if necessary. Anyone who knows me, or has ever been to my house they are guaranteed dessert of some kind. Just thought i would throw in a list of things i am notorious for eating: Better cheddars, Chips ahoy delux, grasshoppers, muddy buddies, moultons,
4. I love exercises, i know totally opposite of the previous thing, but i do, i love running and swimming, i am not really good at either but i love how good it makes you feel after. the catch 22 is that on top of loving to exercises i am also lazy, if i can actually do the exercises it feels great, the trick is actually getting off my butt and doing it! In high school i was in track (triple jump) and when told to run a mile i would walk really slow until everyone was almost done and then run the last part doing about a lap but pretending to do the whole thing! i don't know what changed? my metabolism after babies is my guess.
5. I used to hate the beach. Growing up in California that sounds like blasphemy but i hated the sand and the salt water, why go to the beach when you could go to a perfect temperature clean pool? i still am no the biggest fan, i love to get tan and lay out, but those days are up now that there are 3 kids to watch while trying to enjoy the beach. i can't even remember the last time i actually got in the water at the beach, let alone stay in it for more than 10 min. Sad i know, Shaun says i am not a true Californian and that i can't claim liking the beach, he's probably right. i have lived in Utah the majority of my life, so sad :(
6. I secretly love scrap booking (haha jk, that was for Wendy!) i hate licorice, of any kind, It makes me vomit! Red vines, twizzlers, the smell gets to me. My sister didn't believe me so she ate it in front of me in her car.. i showed her! threw up all over her car! i have to leave the room and sometimes the house when people eat it, The smell seems to linger with me. I get headaches and just get really nauseous? Over the last few weekends the girls have tried it and they loved it, poor kids, wont ever get to indulge on that food. So dont eat it in front of me!

Man that was tough, i am stretching it with the last one, i am sure people can think of better random facts for me, i am at a loss..

bath Time!

We finally decided to give all the kids a bath! Kailey and Jordan were in the tub and Carter was in the sink, I got them all out and Jordan stripped down and wanted in Carters tub! There is no stopping her. Lately she has also decided she wants to be potty trained, or hates diapers, she is always taking them off. The other day she took it off and peed in her room during nap time, then while Shaun was watching her he waited a `little to long to get her out of her poopy diaper. When he went to change what he thought was poopy he took her underwear cover off to find a bare bottom! when we went looking for the diaper we found it Luckily in our bathroom trash. Smart girl! remove the dirty diaper, put it in the trash, put back on the underwear cover like it never happened! she fooled us!

We braved the pool today for the first time, it wasn't too bad! the girls LOVED being in the pool and all the splashy toys and it helped that they were with their cousins! The first day we went with Carrie and the kids and Jess met us there and the next day we went with Carrie and Jen and kids. The second day was easier but Carter slept through all of it both days! it was nice to get a little tan and enjoy being at the pool! The second day Jordan had a blow out and they closed the pool for 45 min! We had the swim diapers and everything!

For Ryan's birthday we floated the river, he opted not to go, but Carrie, Andy and family and Jacob and Deidre came with us and the girls. Cater was at the babysitter. It was lots of fun! the river was freezing but the sun was HOT! no pictures of it because its hard to take a camera down the river. After that we had a BBQ at Aaron and Audra's and rode horses, did some fireworks and had birthday Cake

We had a busy day!!! We got up early (about 6)to see the hot air balloons take off from Provo High Field and missed the take offs by about 2 min... its OK the girls still really LOVED the huge balloons. I was up anyway from feeding Carter, after hot air balloons we had breakfast and played int he park at like 7:30! so early! then we went to the freedom festival in downtown Provo, it was so hot we couldn't stay long! then we went home and had a BBQ with Carrie, Andy and family, and Corey and Sara and family and Ryan and Annalyn came over for some fireworks. We went to bed pretty early because we were exhausted!
