Thanksgiving feast day!

Kailey and Tanner with all our gazillion dessert, i mean come on, whats a feast without desserts?
We opted to stay here this year and crashed Mike and Wendy's family dinner, i made a few desserts and went overboard: Oreo truffle, chex mix, cherry pie (for Shaun) Derby pie, apple/cranberry cobbler. There was also pumpkin pie, chocolate silk pie, pretzel jello, and banana cream pie... good thing we didn't stuff ourselves before? oh wait.. i don't think i am hungry and its almost a week later! Jordan is big into being a baby.. one cute baby if you ask me!

Pre- Thanksgiving Turkey

For the past 2 years we have made pre-thanksgiving turkey dinners, last year we tried to smoke one, and this year I tried a new lemon turkey... it was OK, i would change it up a bit. I declare this a new tradition. we don't seem to have too many traditions, its hard to do with small kids, i am normally just trying to get by or someone is always in bed so i don't know if they count... anyway, we did the works, turkey, carrots, potato's and way more food than we could eat! delicious!

Apparently Raja wanted some dinner too...

Thank Heaven for girls!

Today was a big eye opener, I babysat some little boys that i don't normally watch, they weren't bad, but it made me appreciate my girls and the fact that I watch mainly girls, and boys I am young enough to train!

Kailey and Este quietly colored and sang the ABC's while 2 little boys rammed toy buses into walls, climbed/jumped on the coffee table and banged on the toy piano... I just found it funny and a lot louder than I am used to! (side note: they don't know the rules of the house) We'll see how Carter turns out, he will be raised by 2 older girls...

Semi-solids

We tried "solids" today, i would say they are more like mush. I dont know how much we actually got in his mouth, and he seems a little small for the highchair...
OK mom, lets try this stuff!!! ... I am supposed to eat what you are making over there? hum...

seriously? have you tried this? bring the boob back! don't make me eat another bite

This stuff tastes like cardboard.. trust me i have sucked on plenty of cardboard, are you sure this is food mom?! Don't worry Carter, i don't blame you! maybe we will try in a few more days? ( we did try in a few more days.. same reaction, so we tried fruit, he literally gagged himself and threw it up! poor babies!)

My mom came in town while Shaun was out of town and man did we go wild! ok, not really, we just hung out, Ryan, Annalyn and Luke came down and we went to the Harley Store and restaurant and the kids got to ride on the bikes!

You know you're a good parent if....

You come home from a church activity to find your kids in bed on time while dad was "watching" them because they drew all over their ENTIRE BODIES including faces (great dad award)...
Your kids wake up in the morning and you tell them to go back to bed, or play in their room until you come and get them...
You come downstairs in the after telling them to play and find your oldest has already made eggo waffles for her and younger sibling, syrup and all!...
You lie to them telling them "its really late and way past their bed time" when really its only 7 just to get them in bed (daylight savings is awesome!)...
While you were blogging your kids were in the bath and you hear "mommy!!! Jordan just pooped in the bath!" (not a joke this just happened!)
You ask your child to get a diaper and she replies "mom, you make me do Everything!"
About 4:00pm your daughter asks if she can get dressed for the day... and you say no

We went to the Aquarium this past weekend with Britt, Jason and Syd. It was fun to Finally do something together, they've been avoiding us like the plague! we even saw a cool show about the superhero animals of the jungle! they touched sting rays and snakes!

Kailey woke us up and said "I want to go play in the snow"... woke Jordan up and Shaun took them out, yes at 7:30am!!!

Then back in the house for some breakfast, Jordan obviously needed 2 bananas?? you might think its warm inside, but we are too cheap to turn on the heat, what was your morning like?

healthy dinner

I'm trying to be healthier for all of us! We tried Whole wheat pizza last night, the parchment paper can't handle the heat, and Shaun may have not taken it out of the oven until one was successfully on fire (i was voting while it cooked) but nonetheless it turned out delicious although Shaun will take some convincing...

Jordan Couldn't decide what she wanted for "bekfast" and they eat a TON so she had... 1 Eggo waffle, 2 pancakes and 2 wheat waffles! i don't know how this kid stays so tiny!

This morning I felt ambitious and made homemade wheat waffles.. they were so good! here is the recipe! they were super easy and healthy!

Whole Wheat Waffles:

1 3/4 c Whole Wheat Flour

1 Tablespoon baking powder

1/2 Teaspoon salt

1/4 C Honey

2 T Oil

2 Eggs (although i forgot these and they were still really good)

2 C milk

Mix, cook and ENJOY!

No new pictures today because my battery died because Ryan took some awesome pictures (see above)

My house smells like poop! not a joke. This morning I woke up at 6:00 to "mooommm, i just threw up" awesome.. i got to do an early load of laundry!!! the day followed with Shaun saying he didn't feel good and heading to work, Carter pooed about 4 times (he is normally a 1/10 days type of guy) and Jordan gave me about 8 or more fun little presents in her pants and Kailey got to throw away 2 pairs of underwear before I decided to just put a diaper on her. but surprisingly it wasn't too bad of a day.. You see i made a new goal. Be Happy, I am amazed at how just saying and continually thinking "be happy" actually works! lets hope we can keep with the happy thoughts and have another good day tomorrow

And Annalyn feed Anna for us, I am surprised she wanted to go back with us. they had an awesomely (is that a word?) fenced in back yard and she followed me everywhere because there was no upstairs off limits like in our house. (Thanks Annalyn... we owe you!)

Shaun had Friday off so we headed up to Rexburg where life is fast paced and happenin'! ok maybe not really but it was nice to go hang out with Ryan/Annalyn/Luke and see Tim and Kristen while we were there.
