The Princess and the Frog
Saturday I took the girls and went with a few friends and their daughters to see Princess and the Frog. it was cute. Kailey LOVED it, but the villain Voodoo guy was a little too much for Jordan. I had to close her eyes. I don't know why Disney does that. It really seems unnecessary to bring such a creepy bad guy and there is always one song when you wonder why would they put this in? But it was fun. we filled up on Cinnamon bears, mint MMs and Hershey Kisses. YUM. then all headed to lunch at Red Robin. It was a fun girls day. and Of course when I came home, instead of the Christmas lights being up. Shaun and Carter were asleep. I mean it is Saturday!

Thoughts or lack there of
So I'm sitting on my couch thinking of where the heck a Library book could be... and I think. "oh i REALLY need to do this" then i call my sister -in -law because she is pertinent to the solution and while its ringing i forget completely what i really needed to do just 2 seconds ago, so i hang up, and am still trying to remember what i had to do that was really important... I mean i called her immediately upon thinking about it. I don't get it, how can something "important" just fly the coup (which is my brain) I swear this is happening more and more. The other day Kailey was banging her head on the wall, for kicks and giggles, why else? I told her to stop because that of course kills brain cells and makes you dumber (did anyone else learn this?) so in the end I'm thinking I must have hit my head to many times as a kid because my memory is getting worse, my brain is getting dumber and I am turning into a blob of motherhood... with a notebook attached to me to write down the things i need to do or don't want to forget, also filled with recipes and other random useless information my brain is computing. (by the way the notebook was at the computer when i thought of my "important" thing, therefore, did not get written down upon thought process.)the end

Here comes the snow!
Journal entry- kinda boring:
It has has been snowing for 2 days now, luckily it is over the weekend where we don't really have to go anywhere. I mean come on, who really needs to go to church?? jk. we did leave the kids home with runny noses and I'm pretty sure they will pick something up there so i went and Shaun stayed home. Shaun shoveled the walkway and about 10 minutes later was fully covered again looking like it had never been done.
Last week was great, we were able to stay up to date on all our calendars, and "Buddy the Elf" showed up on our doorway addresses from the North pole to be Santa's helper here. Kailey was like "i better be good wherever Buddy is" I told her elves are magic and can pretty much be anywhere and hear anything. She has been a great helper to me, but then again, she normally is. She asked to organize the kid drawer and unload the dishes. Santa is definitely noticing that stuff! The love opening their advent calendars and it has helped Jordan with her numbers, who knew it served a dual purpose?
We started secret Santa and Kailey has been running up to the door to drop the gifts off, I'm surprised we haven't been caught, as sneaky as she is, her fast isn't the fastest, but its cute. The first day she got in the car and laughing she said "that was so much fun, Mom you gotta try this!" she was so excited about making someones day. I am hoping to teach her the real meaning of Christmas before she gets all caught up in the presents. we'll see... so far its been really fun trying. Although yesterday Kailey told me a few things she wanted from Santa: a stuffed elf and 2 other things that she wrote at school and her teacher "mailed to Santa" i am relay hoping i get that list. I told her Santa only get 1 thing and she said " mom don't worry about I already told Santa" then she asked Shaun how many presents Santa gets people. Apparently he believes in Santa because he said 17. Jordan replied "17, WOW THATS A LOT!" i agree with her, and don't know why he would say that but Jordan response ans face was hilarious.
I'm back to babysitting today, luckily i don't really have to leave. we are looking forward to Mike and Wendy coming over to frost sugar cookies and Kailey has asked if we can pretend and act out the nativity scene with Tyty as baby Jesus. I figure why not.
