Back pain..again

Well I did a triathalon last week and started cross fit on Monday. Rode my bike. Ran 3 miles. Lifted weights and did cross fit again on Thursday an turns out.. Sneezing and rowing in combination causes the worst pain I've ever experienced. I was flat on my back at the class then cries the whole way home. Pretty sure I scared the kids with the amount of crying and pain I was in. I literally got stuck on the toilet and again had to lift me off. Yeah. That's bad. I'm kinda mad. I feel strong. And capable. What's the deal!? I'm careful and slow and had just finished the physical therapist. Not cool back. Not cool.

This kid has started to play wish more toys. We've been playing trains and cars lately and he's so funny. This kid is a handful but he's pretty cute 

Sprint triathlon complete

They found me on the bike portion. Kailey is waiving at me :) luckily they didn't see me come out of the swim. It was tough! Next time I need to practice more open water swims so I don't swallow gallons of lake water. And I need a wetsuit. Not for the cold. But to stay buoyant!

I probably could've push myself harder. The bike wasn't bad but I was afraid to burn myself out and die on the run. In the end both the bike and the run were fairly easy. But I came away feeling glad I wasn't completely dead so maybe that's my motivation to keep it up!? (Plus i beat Shauns time from last year and that's what REALLY matters ;)

They met me at the end as well. They raced me across the finish line. I won! I am very thankful for this group of supporters. They may make working out hard and are also a big reason (sanity) but at the end of the day im tired and blessed. Time to sign up for a new race!

Any closer??

Shaun is out of town again and decker thinks it's necessary to practically BE on me while going to sleep. Luckily he's a good snuggler and then I can move him onto the "bad dream bed" (where bad dreams aren't allowed) 

Taste of South Carolina

Today was Jordans tast of South Carolina today. So after I made (bought) a veggie tray, she asked the morning of the event of i can so make cookies... Thanks for the heads up!  Good thing I'm awesome! I may have come in my workout clothes but I came with cookies! 

Teeth anyone??

Kailey came down at 9 tonight saying she  had a loose tooth. Sure enough it came out within minutes. The "tooth fairy" came and off to bed she went... 10 min later she said she has another loose tooth!  

It took a few extra minutes but she lost a second tooth! Poor girl isn't going to be able to eat on her right side for weeks!

Party time

We had an "incredible" party. I had some fun stations and a slip and slide set up, but turns out 3 year old could care less. So the played on the pool ate cake and we opened presents. Everytime I baked the past 2 weeks he asked if I was making his "happy birthday incredible cake" well here it is!!

Ellie helped him open presents. He got batman flashlight and watch, a ball black and decker tool set. play dough, dinosaurs and a bug catcher, a book and bubble car. Boogie board and a bike. I think he scored. Thanks all for coming! He would have loved candy and friends. He got spoiled :)

Decker is 3!?!

He's three.lets hope terrible 2s are done he sure is one cute stinker. He sings in the car "once upon a time, in New York sittin'" loves the incredibles, LOVES his kindle and my iPad, loves riding his bike and playing outside,is friends with every adult he meets and talks to them non stop.  He loves to be disobedient and flat out tell me or a sibling he will hit them or spit at them. He loves hunter, the dog, so much i feel bad for hunter. He won't sleep in his own room anymore but thinks he now always able to sleep with mom and dad, in our bed??? Likes cars, trains, the book store, anything candy. All cake and cookies. He is by my side 100% of the day 7 days a week. he watches me bake, cook, teach piano, go to the bathroom. You name it! He loves all his siblings with tough love. Especially Ellie , who he loves to bite. He's a good "squeezer" always says he loves me more, loves his friends miles, mason and Walt. He brings so much mischief and happiness to the family I can't live without him but I can't live with him ;) your the bomb deck.

Finally

I've been waiting for warm weather and a lazy day. Finally we had one. 79 and breezy. And the water was too cold for decker to get in all the way so he just played on te steps and I was able to relax. The perfect day! 

Ellie got her ears pierced

She was so brave!! Of course Shaun tries to scare her and tell her she would cry and it would hurt worse than anything. Luckily my kids believe me more than their year of a father! I told her it would hurt and that it would be for a second and if she cried it would be ok, but she didn't cry at all! She tries to stay calm and sat in the chair and had her seriously face on with some nervous smiles. But after they marked her ears one fun got stuck in and she still was so brave! She said it didn't even hurt. I need to upload the video but it won't let me!

Decker-ism

A few things to remember. As hard as he can be he sure is funny. His chore is to feed hunter and yesterday when he went to deen Hunter he said "what in the world" while throwing his hands in the air because we were out of dog food 

  He also knows his bday is coming up and keeps asking me to make his "credibles" cake with his "happy birthday" on it. (Candles) 

  He also loves me taking pictures of him. He will randomly do something like put chocolate on his face or make a silly face and have me "tak-a piture of me"

  Almost 3! Where does the time go?

Happy Easter/conference

We made a bread bunny, that looks like a mouse. But it was a great appetizer before all the junk we ate during conference 

Then we dyed the eggs the Easter bunny hid. The water bunny was lazy this year and Hid plain white hard boiled eggs. Carter was really confused "why did he hid real eggs?" 

Then we watched conference. This kid stole a conference bucket and sat in the couc and watched like it was the incredibles. He's a pretty funny kid. 

Our eggs. Shaun has a real good way of taking my idea "that will never work " and trying to one up me when it does. I put a rubberband around my eggs and dyed it. They looked pretty cool!

Time for ham and au gratin potatoes during second session. We finished the day with the choice of "help clean up or go to bed at 6:30". The girls, and Shaun  chose bed whiley favorite carter helped clean up, pack lunches and make cookies, because who doesn't need cookies after a day like today!?

A spring break day at the beach

It was warm but breezy so we took the kites grandma mailed us. Because she is the best grandma ever. Jordan got cold and hid under a towel 

Ellie loved flying her kite. She is giving thumbs up! 

And they also played in the tide water and threw sams at decker. They said the ocean was "too cold". It was 68. Poor southern kids. Don't know how they would handle the pacific :)
