sunday randomness

Well, its just a normal sunday but i did Kailey's hair in curlers and I thought it was really cute! it was like pulling teeth to get her sleep in them and in the morning it was SO curly it was above her chin, she cried "it looks like I got a hair cut" so we sprayed it and it fell a bit, and the end result was "i love my hair mom! lets do this again for my birthday" i agree, super cute.

Horsing Around

another Saturday and lots of project done. but they still keep coming? this saturday we: added to the garden, lettuce and flowers, fixed our playset that blew down a few months back, cleaned, mowed the yard and to top it off built one AWESOME Horseshoe pit. we are going to get good enough to join the NHPA (National Horseshoe Pitcher Association) yeah thats right, we are cool!

Side note: we thought we were doing it big (3ft x4ft) but really its supposed to be 6ft x 6ft. we'll work our way up to professional size.

where did the good weather go?

Carter on his bike. he is my most co-ordinated kid when it comes to bikes and scooter, i wonder if its a boy thing? Kailey scooting around

Jordan successfully stole carters bike and takes it for a ride around the patio
This is what we did on Mon and Tues. The weather was high 70's low 80's and perfect. Jordan got a nice tan and we spent both days outside completely. and then it got cold. I know this is normal for Utah but I'm so looking forward to warm weather and shorts, the teasing cold is not fun. i am refusing to put pants back on, and even though it was 50 and pouring rain, i wore them out and about. yeah i was a little cold, but hopefully that will teach weather to mess with me! today I am sporting shorts, but i figure why make the kids suffer.
On a separate note. went to the Dr yesterday, that is always depressing for me. i am measuring 2 weeks early, which puts me at where i thought i was! i am only 32 1/2 weeks, i thought i was 34.. depressing news. especially when my weight gain is right up there with my usual finale weight. i feel like a ginormous blob. I have yet again mastered the pregnancy walk, the awkward bending over and the horrible nights rest. it takes me on average 4 hours to fall asleep. and when i do, i am usually woken up by the incessant need to pee or a kid who had a bad nightmare, or a husband who snores. pregnancy=fun! according to my math and i have 7 1/2 weeks, minus 7 days for the earliest they will induce, making it 6 1/2 at the latest! and lets hope for and early baby!

A busy day in the yard!

well, back in town and it seems like straight to work! this Saturday was beautiful so about 9am we started weeding. about 10:30 we decided we hate weeding and to fill our planter in with sod! so that is what we did. it may be less "appealing" but it will be such easier maintenance!. that took us most of the day, after the sod I planted flowers and started the garden, while Shaun mowed the yard, and took down the Christmas clips and fertilized the lawn. we cleaned the patio and now have red and white onions growing, 2 tomato plants and we already planted the blueberries, grapes, strawberries and raspberries a few weeks ago. This is the planter Shaun built a few weeks back for my garden. he did a good job. I only hope I can be a good enough gardener! after planting rows and rows of onion, i am double thinking the whole gardening while 7 1/2 months pregnant! i woke up so sore and mustering up the energy is tough! we stopped about 8pm and could barely move our fingers and our legs were raw from laying sod. now a week of recovery!

we're baack

We went over to Nantucket for Jessie's 22nd. the fairy ride over wasn't to fun, i got a little sick, but the way back was fine. cute city it was off season, sunny cold and wind which turned out to be great! we also went to Hyannis Port and the JFK memorial beach and museum. we stayed busy, it was a lot of fun!

Here we are at Bunker Hill Monument. we are trying to "lean on the monument" can you tell?? three were 294 steps to the top... doesn't sound like that many does it? well it is! around 100 you think.. "hum, I still have 194 left.. is it worth it?" They seemed like pretty steep, skinny steps, and honestly the view wasn't worth it but the feat was. 7 months pregnant, it wasn't bad if you just took your time and didn't stop. my dad tried to run up the first 50 and then it kicked his butt he rest of the way. my mom made it to the top too, she couldn't let her pregnant daughter go without her!

Yes I know, I look like the "lonely tourist" but I went with my Dad to the USS constitution ( my mom was parking) and this me on board. I love history it was so fun learn about the oldest ship in commission.

it was a nice break and fun to be with Jessie on her birthday. we had all types of weather while there but it was fun no matter what! Thanks Jessie and Chris! it was a blast, hopefully I will be back soon!
Shaun apparently didn't take any pictures of his trip, typical dad thing, but they did well. he said the kids were better without me. i figure its cause he pretty much ignores them. so they stop asking him to do things. but hey stayed busy. the beach, swimming, dinner. apparently there were no naps or beds times and he said he mi hgt have starved Carter, but they are all back, said they had fun with Grandpa and Dad and Shaun said he'd like to do that every 6 months or year, so that's a good thing!

Off we go

Today is a big day. Shaun is heading to California for a road trip with all the kids, BY HIMSELF!! i'm pretty excited to hear about how his 5 day vacation (really only 4) without me turns out. He is going to visit his dad, so we'll see how these 2 guys can handle it. I'm sure they will be fine, i just look forward to HIM changing the diapers for 5 whole days! yeah revenge is mine! while he takes the kids, I'm off to celebrate Jessie's Birthday and spend 5 days in Boston with her, Chris my mom and dad. I'm pretty excited! Yes I will miss them, but what better way to leave than have Shaun be watching the kids with family and me spending time with mine. have fun this weekend, and wish Shaun luck!

Just call me crazy!

For sometime now i have had to come to grips with a few things I am having a 4th child, and not too far off in the future. With that comes several changes I have been postponing, neglecting, or pretty much avoiding because either its a lot of work, time, money or all of the above. so last week i tackled one project (well halfway) I put the girls into 1 room, i still have to get all their stuff organized, but that can wait right? so then i painted my main room, this wasn't necessary per say, but i needed the change, I've been wanting to do it for a long time.
we need a bigger car, the jeep just doesn't cut a family of 6, wow a family of 6!? so we need to sell it, if you know anyone who is in the market for a jeep let me know! (i'm serious) cause we went ahead and bought a new car last night!!!!! i LOVE the car, and its way nicer than i ever imagined getting, but we should be keeping this one for the rest of eternity so it go big or go home right? they had a really great deal going on and we bought more car than of course we planned, but here it is!!!
its a GMC acadia.I haven't driven it more than around the neighborhood because Shaun drove it home and for the test drive, but I'm not worried, i'll get my time in it i'm sure. 7 seats, the kids have a DVD player. its pretty cool, i'm way spoiled and hopefully its nice enough that one day when we can't afford the luxuries of a house we can live in it. now for a few more things to do like, move carter out of the babies room, get clothes down from the attic for both boy and girl, since its a surprise i have to be more than prepared. then clean my house, get my yard and garden done and then, its baby go time! but now we can at least drive home from the hospital as a family! not the best shots, but its cold and i didnt want to open the garage. it fits in the garage by like an inch! no joke! dang shelves he built, love them but they take up a lot of length in the garage.

Happy easter

we started a few traditions of our own this it could be because I'm lazy and never got around to doing them, but in the end we woke up Sunday morning to an Easter egg hunt in our house followed by coloring eggs and after our fancy feast of Bean dip, we used our candy making kit and made some pretty cute chocolate suckers. it was a good day filled with candy, candy candy and more candy

I've been busy!

Before, we'd already taken the curtains down You can really see the lighting changes the color, I'd say its more like the one below, or the link in the text below.

Well, I should post upstairs too but that doesn't look quite as put together. last Wednesday I painted the girls room pink with help from Jess. I love it, its super bright and cheery and looks great with their cream bunk beds. I am finally coming to grips with 1 more kid will be here sooner than I think and I need to get organized and make room! so they are now almost officially in the same room, just need to organize and arrange clothes.

BUT anyway so after I did that my friends Cami and Craig offered their services and we went ahead and painted the main TV room Blue (this is what we were going for) In re-painting I was forced to change the curtains, pillows and soon hopefully tomorrow the ottoman we are doing red to match the curtains. I have been wanting to re-do this room blue for ALONG time! I love it, its growing on Shaun, but it feels so much happier! I'm surprised at how easy it was to sew, granted it took me from 1pm to 11pm to do 3 Valences and 2 Curtains, and 2 pillows. all I have left is 1 ottoman, 2 pillows, 2 chair cushions, and 2 tie backs for my curtains. but first I have to buy the fabric! fun fun fun! wish me luck! I'll post an update when I'm all done!
