really... does everyone HAVE to do the word security on comment? i think I am going to start refusing to leave people comments because writing the "word" they make you put is just ridiculous.
a. its never a real word so i have to look at the computer 8 times to figure out what i am supposed to be typing
b. why?? i mean it isn't security? its basically a stupid test meaning "hey stupid, can you write these 8 letters that are slanted and kinda hidden? if you are smart enough go ahead and leave a comment, if not.. too bad!!!!"

just a waste of time if you ask me!

potty update:

not going as well as planned! lets see
Day1: 3 accidents all pee. oh what fun. 1 time she made it to the toilet but didn't scoot back far enough so it got all over the floor: joy.
Day 2: pooped in underwear first thing, so exciting!! (luckily it was a nice hard one so it flopped right in the toilet) then she peed on the carpet, followed by in her bedroom after nap. then off to the bank, no bank is complete without kid pee on the carpet right? yup, we pretended that one didn't happen. then home, we got 1/2 on the carpet and i think i scared the pee back in so we ran to the toilet and got the second 1/2 of the pee in: success. lets hope day 3 becomes a miracle day of no accident! please everyone, pray for us!

a fun week ahead... NOT

The morning started out with the kids in the bath because Kailey's bottom hurt... next thing we know both kids are crying and Kailey yelled "Jordan pooped in the tub" so we grab them out, put Jordan on the toilet to finish the job she started in the tub... oh the joys of parenting! It looks like its time to potty train! so attempt number 1 started with pumping her full of liquids, potty prizes and trips to the bathroom every 20 min... the first 3 attempts were unsuccessful, but the 4th resulted in not peeing on the toilet but directly after pants were pulled up, followed by wet pants, carpet and a crying kid! fun fun time to pump with liquids again and try again
Shaun is on his way to Mexico for the week, this traveling thing is getting a little repetitive, and a little too consistent for my liking. so the week ahead is full of accidents, husband less nights and exercise!
goals for this week: potty train Jordan, and lose 2 lbs! i would think both attainable with a lot of determination and consistency!
Any hints on either are glady welcomed!!!!

there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Shaun comes home on Thursday, my parents come this weekend and so do Annalyn and Ryan, so the week SHOULD end well...

what would life be like?

its 9:30 am and my patience is gone. i have no idea where it went, or if i really ever had any but it got me thinking... what would life be like if I didn't babysit everyday? if i didn't worry about always trying to keep my house clean (which it seems is a never-ending, unattainable task.) what would it be like to wake up and just have my family? would it be gone because i wouldn't be able to handle my own kids, or has the 3 years of doing daycare taught me at least enough patience to deal with my own kids? i don't know... i wonder. what would it be like to have a fence to send the kids out back (even if it is 40 degrees outside, that's why we have coats right???)
so anyway, its 9:30am and Jordan is having alone play time in Kailey's room. Kailey lied about pushing a babysitting kid so after time-out was banished to entertaining Carter in his room. one kid was put to bed and the other was sent to Jordan's room to play with books and Lincoln logs... and today I have the least amount of kids i have had all week. oh the joy! i just want to read my book in a clean and quiet house, is that too much to ask? yeah i think it is...

swinging it

remember being little and swinging on the swing, it seems like you can swing for hours, but when you are an adult and all you get to do is push, the park isn't quite as fun! especially because there weren't any baby swings for Carter so i had to push with one hand and hold him with the other... the other week i ran into the "park keeper upper" and asked him if they could put in baby swings and magically 2 appeared the next week! amazing what a simple request to the right person can do! (i take full responsibility for the baby swings :))
Today was such a warm day we headed to the park before it got too crowded (this week has been really warm and the park has finally had visitors) and we all swung on the swings, Carter loved it! after about 20 min it was VERY hot but we stuck it out for another 1/2 hr. I am loving the springtime!

As fun as the trip was its always nice to come home, especially after walking around the airport for oh... 5 hrs... lets just say i lost $3 of the $5 that i "won" yes i know, i am a big risk taker! Deidre was the only one who "played the slots" with me. Those nickle machines sure are fun! (we were so lame as to know what to do that we asked the security guard how to play followed by him carding Deidre because she doesn't looks 21.. pretty funny) i got home and was greeted with a "Hi mom" and "what did you get us!!?" lucky i was prepared! it was nice to see Shaun seeing as he was in England when i left. and then sleep in my bed! and today I am wearing my new clothes!

Just DANCE

first day gone (thurs 3/12) we went on the ellen show! it was so much fun, Portia di Rossi was on the show as well as the two people who got kicked off of American Idol and it airs today Mon the 16th! we are in the last row rt side and Carrie is on the end in a red sweater, keep an eye out! we danced with ellen and have the shirts and IPODS to prove it!!! we all won free 120 gig IPODS! totally rad!!! we LOVE ellen! the weekend was so much fun! i love my sisters/sister in-laws, mom and Aunt Linda... lets do this again next year! Arizona or New York HERE WE COME!

what a fun weekend! after Thursdays adventures of ellen, followed by of course BJ's pizza we headed to Vegas! the only thing missing was Annalyn. we stopped at the outlets and shopped (without kids!!!) went to dinner at an Italian place inside the JW Marriott. We got upgraded to a completely awesome suite! it was amazing! The bathrooms had bidets! (those "toilets" next to toilets to "wash".. you know what i mean) the closets were as big as my kids bedrooms! The suite was probably bigger than my entire downstairs. it was heaven! It was such a fun trip! on sat we worked out at the gym had a "spa" day: hung out in the steam room, ordered food by the pool and laid out without thinking of kids, the weather was about 80, Deidre of course got burnt, and Carrie wore her sunglasses and turned into a raccoon. it was so fun! we saw Wayne Brady (the black guy from Who's line is it Anyway) and he was hilarious! i laughed so hard i thought i was going to throw up. ( i have never experienced that before... maybe life as a mom with a day care doesn't give my lungs enough work?)

gone again...

on the road again! actually on the plane, he is off to England this time, and YES i am jealous, but no i don't want to go, at least not this time. He doesn't get in until late Tuesday night and comes home on Friday morning so it will be a short business trip. But hopefully in a few more months he will go back, and I will be on that plane with him! plus I am going to the Ellen show this Thursday!!!! ( Yes i know AWESOME!) so watch me on TV dacin' it up on Friday! and then i am off to Vegas with my sisters, mom, and sis-in law! we're to go to the Wayne Brady show and have a weekend with no kids. weird! i have never done anything like this before! but am very excited!!!

its official, my little boy is growing up! he no longer has long hair. I was so sick of it, and Shaun saying "I'll cut it later" that I went ahead and started, Shaun saw it and said "what did you do to him, and took over" ( my plan worked!) so here he is in all his handsomeness!
