While Clyde came to town we headed to Cypress Garden, It is cool old plantation that they stopped up the river and made a swamp and now is a sanctuary. they let you row out into the swamp and walk around. It was really pretty, a little chilly but really pretty.

This is our usual tourist attractions, the battery, or white point gardens with the view of Fort Sumter. So far we have been 3 out of 4 seasons summer was a little hot. We walked around the block and hung out on the trees.

We saved this to do with Clyde, in Mount pleasant there is USS Yorktown and a submarine. it was pretty cool, the sub seemed cramped and tiny, i can't imaging living in one especially knowing that water surrounded every part of the sub...scary! then we toured the ship. also amazing, the airplanes were neat and the kids like going through, but towards the end they were done. we will have to visit it in phases. We loved having Clyde around. Carter became his buddy and snuggled up to him several night, and Ellie like the extra attention and the extra bottles! Its so sad to live far away because we never know when family can come back and visit. hopefully its sooner rather than later.

of course we had to head to the beach even if it was a bit windy it turned otu there were a lot of sind surfers out. it was pretty cool. That looks like a lot of work!!!

Shaun's going to Italy. so I'm going too! Since I'm going to Italy, so is Ellie. we had to get her a passport. that was not a fun experiences. apparently the wall is beige not white. I beg to differ! We had to retake her picture. lame. but hwy i guess in the long run, we're still going to Italy!

I have a feeling I might be going to this plantations A lot! its within 10 min from our house and is the best cheapest plantation we've heard of. we went when my mom and Dad came in town, and I had Jordan, Carter and Ellie. it was fun, but this time Shaun watched the kids and i went with Carrie and Finn. it was the day before the reenactment of "the Battle of Succession" so they had shops lined down the walk. I am all about history but I just dont understand how these people are dressed in Union and Confederate clothes and camping on the plantation? It would have been fun to watch the actual reenactment but the peopel made me laugh. we did the house tour, the carriage ride and this time Finn decided he missed Ellie's crying and filled in for her. we played in the cotton rows (thats all they have left) and it was a great night. so far I'm pretty lucky to have 2 totally different experiences there!

Day trip to Savannah

we headed to Savannah with 5 kids. it is only about a 2 hr drive from my house. we went to Paula Deen's restaurant for lunch, hung out by the fountain for a bit and took a trolley ride around town. It wasn't the easiest day for me, but the town was beautiful! the historic district is planned so in the center of every block of houses is a park, and usually a fountain or statue. the weather was great!

While there a few funny stories. Ellie was having a rough time, so i fed her a bottle and she was almost asleep. so I fed her a bit more to try and knock her out. bad idea. she fell asleep so i put her over my shoulder and she vomited EVERYWHERE! it was awesome. my hair, down my back, on the chair and yes, straight into my purse!

Warning: long story to follow. After our incident at Paula Deens we headed to catch a trolley to tour around town. I headed to the car to put stuff away and Carrie was behind me. she saw the bus to take us to the trolley and told me to hop on and she would feed the meter and be right there. So i grabbed my four kids and told the driver "my sisters coming, she's paying the meter" and attempted to sit at the back of the bus. well, the doors closed and off he went. without Carrie and Finn. i thought he was just driving around the block like he had done to pick us up but no. he kept going. he stopped to pick up some ladies and I asked if we could go get my sister we left, he said "no, i can't go back" I'm thinking... ok now what? i call her. no answer, text no answer. so I ask the ladies who got on where I was headed. they said i wasn't even on the right bus for what I wanted to do and the "it was a holiday we didn't need to pay the meters, i'm sorry darling, you lost your money" i'm thinking. who cares about 4 bucks, where is Carrie?? so i got off at the ticket station and there was a real trolley about to head out. I told it to go ahead because I wanted to wait for my sister and the workers informed me it was the last one of the day... Great! My phone rang while I was trying to figure out what to do with some random 214 # and luckily i answered it. It was Carrie. she had closed the car doors with her phone inside. I arranged to pay for her ticket and have the trolley go pick her up. but when we got there. there was no Carrie. some bus told her to get on and they would find US? talk about disorganized!! and with no phones to call each other. so a bus did catch up with us and Carrie ran on and was like "Why did you leave me!" not as funny of a story to write, but it was hilarious! the bus drivers was stupid, the Trolley drivers were rude. and we had no cell phone to communicate. all in all we went on a trolley ride. Carter and Ellie fell asleep and it all worked out. but it was so funny!

I think my goal will be to go to the beach at least 1x a month. Carrie and I met Shaun at the beach during low tide in search of Star fish and Sand Dollars. we didn't find any sand dollars. The beach however was scattered with jellyfish and crabs that were stuck onshore during low tide. I've never seen anything like it. I still love the beach here. it was warm and the water was definitely doable, at least more so than Cali. (we just walked in it) the houses are amazing, the sand is super fine and its never crowded!?

We are on a roll with visitors! I am just afraid that once they all come they wont come back. I mean don't get me wrong, i am a totally awesome tour guide! we had a blast with Carrie and Finn here. we did a little bit of everything!

First night in town we went to dinner at Jim and Nicks BBQ. for some reason I love BBQ now? then the ext day we braved downtown Charleston

3. this time its trickien, (me what?) its trickety, (me, you mean trickier?) tricker? this one is tricker. (me laughing, but only enough she doesnt know its at her)

I'll keep writing these down because she is so funny! the things she says (which is a lot, cause she talks a lot) are just to funny

no pictures- a boring post

I can't believe its November? where did the year go? (I guess you can scroll through the past posts and figure it out but still,) it seems to have flown by! October is our busiest month, well, that and June. Shaun was out of town for 6 pretty consecutive week, being home on the weekends, Kailey finished swimming for the month and we are taking a month off, to recuperate. Don't worry we're still busy with Tennis and Dance. I'm hoping November will be a bit more relaxed. Ellie has decided sleeping through the night is a thing of the past. I don't know why? I need to just power her through it, but even after 4, almost 5 months after her birth I still feel pretty exhausted in the mornings. maybe I should start going to bed before 12? she goes to bed around 7:30-8 but wakes up at 1:30? whats the deal El? stay asleep!!! I'm on the verge of quitting nursing. I usually stop when they start to bite, and man has the biting begun. not cool. I started taking this supplement called fenugreek, its supposed to increase your milk supply. I started yesterday. This morning Shaun told me I stink. I think its seeping out my pores, it has curry in it or something, so I may re-think this, who wants to smell like curry?
I've been working out again for a month or so, am making myself run a mile (no stopping and under 10 min) and increasing it by .25 a mile each week. I'm running 2.5 miles now, and then walk to always get 3. its hard! i will toot my own horn for a min. I ran 6.25 miles last Friday no stopping in about 55 min. pretty proud of myself. then i walked a few laps. this week, I'm over running, I get sick of doing the same thing everyday after a few weeks. So I started Jillian's "Last Chance Workout" its kicking my but in a whole new way. I made Shaun do it with me sat, he was "sick" on Sunday (aka sore) but he did it with me again Monday. we'll see how long we can keep this one up. I haven't seen results seeing as its only been a week, but its pretty intense, more so than I thought.
well, now that we've got that boring post out of the way, check this link out. no wonder I can't lose weight. I make a dessert a night. its yummy!
