Skeletons

This is the face Ellie makes all the time and breathes through her nose, its pretty funny. the other 2 are just trying to be scary.

We don't discriminate against holidays around here, so its almost Valentines day, who says we can't wear Halloween Pjs?? not me! the 3 younger ones have matching glow in the dark skeleton pjs, to cute to pass up a picture. especially when they look like this, and love their sister!

Cucumber Eyes

The other day we had a cucumber, we dipped about half of them in vinegar to eat and then had some fun "depuffing" our eyes. The kids have asked to do it everyday since. pretty funny if you ask me.

camera phone diary january

This was taken today, She has gotten 4 teeth, 2 bottom and the 2 top on the left, its so funny, I've never seen this before, her other 2 right ones are now coming in. When she smiles its all crooked and cute, and she smiles a lot!

I have been going healthy so Ellie is forced to as well, she loves eating strips of green peppers as you can see

Can you tell what this is? yeah its an alligator, not the best shot or lighting, but it was about a 6 ft alligator just hanging out at the pond at our community pool. Totally safe right? good thing Shaun wants to wrestle it? (I'm serious!)

Wed Jan 20 at the beach, it was about 65 at 4:30 at night so we went to let the kids play at the park

I wanted to get some shells and found these starfish scattered ALL over the beach, Hundreds and hundreds of them seriously it was amazing. I've heard they are dying and being washed up to shore because of a storm and the water is colder than usual (still 10000x warmer than the pacific in the summer) but i thought it was so cool, sad for starfish but cool for me. we took a bunch home!

This is Kailey and Shaun, they are doing the exact same pose it cracks me up. they both have a starfish in their right hands slightly crooked out and dropping their left. Kailey does have a stick and that's Jordan showing me a shell in the corner

Carter holding up 2 he found. He rough housed a few too many he'd be like "LOOK MOM" and throw one into the ocean, then step on one (it was hard not to on accident but his were on purpose) we are trying to teach him but hes 2.

They have these awesome Little kid carts at our grocery store so he does the shopping now. other shoppers beware: he doesn't look where hes going and stops, turns and swerves at any given moment. notice the shorts and sandals in Jan. SC is awesome. oh and a week after this picture school was cancelled for a day and delayed 3 hrs the next because of snow and freezing rain? it was cold, but it lasted 3 days was cold a bit and now is back up in the 60's.

Kailey wrote me this lovely letter" I love mom because she loves me and she is nise to me sometimes only still she is the best mom ever! best mom ever" i think its hilarious she added the sometimes. she is so straightforward with me its funny, she'll be like yeah, you weren't too nice to me earlier, lets start over (granted she completely forgets WHY i get upset with her, and she is extra sensitive, but i can always practice patience right? hopefully next year it will say i am nice to her ALWAYS???

We got some shoes but returned them, the girls got to the boxes before we mailed them back, I'm sure UPS/Zappos was loving their colored boxes

Jordan got a new hair cut, my phone tends to take a yellow hue, I'm working on it. She was so sad, but once we put a clip in she loved it. its already grown out a TON!

Before our trip to Italy we tested all the kids out in the ergo baby Carrie let us borrow. Jordan was the best fit surprisingly

Some friends took us to the Aquarium in the beginning of January. If you can tell Carter has a seat cushion on as a life jacket, he was wearing it on his neck with an orange one as well, but I got the picture too late

Ellie is crawling! she has been army crawling since December, but now is up on her knees, and tries to walk on her head, its funny. she is everywhere! she loves paper and tiny small pieces of plastic! she definitely upped my cleaning game

Carter practicing his make up applying skills, good thing he's a boy cause its not the best I've ever seen...

The beginning of the month we tested Carter for hypoglycemia/diabetes. The boys pees ALL the time, is moody when he wakes up and is grouchy until he gets a little sugar in him (I guess those are all normal things for me, but Shaun's diabetic and we'd rather play safe) things are all good, he is such a funny kid!

so I've been slacking still, I need to upload my camera photos but int he meantime these are from my camera phone.

El Bells has some teeth

she has such a toothy grin is so cute. if you can tell in the picture, she got her 2 top left teeth before her 2 top front, pretty funny, she has a crooked smile and its cute. She grew up so fast. she crawls all over the place and LOVE to play in her room, alone! she will play for at least n hour if she has it set up right. bottle, toys layed around in every corner and a nice 70 degrees. The girl knows what she wants!

Not much going on down here

Its friday night at 8:30, should I be out? Instead all the kids are in bed, and have been for about an hour. We read books for an hour or so before bedtime (we went to the library for the first time since being here) anyway. sometimes I feel lame and boring knowing that we rarely go out on any given night, weeknight or weekend, but sometimes its not so bad. i mean really, who with kids goes out on the weeknights? who goes out on the weekends? Babysitters are expensive, dates are expensive, and trades=having other peoples kids over (which actually isn't bad now that I don't babysit, but other people dont want 4 kids when they have 2!) seriously, does anyone still go out regularly? more than 1x a month, or 1x every 6 months? let me know.
So new topic: I think i dessert overloaded from October until December, I gained back the weight i'd lost and now its January, time to new years resolution it so I'm off desserts and doing this 4 hour body book thing carrie told me about. its actually not a bad way to eat, beans, vegetable and protein every meal but no simple sugars, flour, you shouldn't drink milk, eat fruit or basically anything else 6/7 days of the week. the 7th day is called "dieters gone wild" because everything is fair game, except to me who added the no desserts thing in January before i started this whole thing. It isn't that bad really but Shaun is doing it with me and i think he's turned into the Grinch who stole happiness. Kailey asked if I noticed something with Dad, i asked what she meant? she's said"he's kinda mean lately, and not just teasing" it made me laugh, because its so true. i think if i was eating desserts and any food I want, i wouldn't mind, but both of being grouchy isn't cool. anyway, needless to say we havent taken too many pictures, I have still been cooking on my blog, I found good ways to make talapia and asparagus. but it seems like January is kinda dull around here. plus I'm kinda feeling stuck out here on the southeast coast. It seems like I should go home to California or down to st George or up to Idaho, but no. those are multiple day trips away and it makes me kinda sad, i am hoping I can come home one day.... maybe i should go to Boston? or visit Lexy...

Baby its cold outside

it was freezing rain today! They cancelled school, the bridges closed, Shauns work was cancelled, and it was all melted about 10am. then it was close to 50. they sure do things differently here

I've been telling the kids made up stories before bed, tonight i dressed the part. Carter Loved it and Joined in the fun. maybe a bit a bit girly but he sure is cute!

Shaun went oystering with a friend in the ward, he came home stinking, but he had fun and we ate fresh oysters this is how we cooked them
