Back posting!

So I am going to be posting from my trip to Cali! it was great! it went by really fast but it was so good to see my old friends ! Now i am back in Utah, no pools in peoples back yard and hot! I started babysitting again, its fine, i guess its just back to the grind! We had a lot of fun we went to the pool, beach and even Mission lake one day! We all got a little sun and very tired! I Unfortunately I tried to be health conscious and didn't get to eat at all my favorite restaurants but i got the main 2 BJ'S pizza and Los Golondrinos SOO good! maybe next time we will hit the others... Baja Fresh, Pasta Bravo, Ruby's, Stix, Togos. I have a lot of favorite places to eat!

2011 Books

  • The Uglies- Scott Westerfeld. I was very hesitant to read because it seemed weird. its about a society that at 16 makes everyone "pretty" kinda like Hunger games and Enders game. Its from the prospective of a 15 yr old who wants to be pretty but then changes her mind when she meets people from "the Smoke"
  • Christmas Jars- Jason F. Wright. Great christmas story about giving and hope. I bought the Kid version for the kids and we have started our own jar.
  • Dexter in The Dark- Jeff Lindsay. book 3. it wasnt as quick as the other 2. I like the story line and dexters voice, but when IT talks i dont like the writing. But I do like Dexter and his sense of humor. Still bad language though.
  • Dearly Devoted Dexter- Jeff Lindsay. Same story different murder. just as good as read
  • Darkly Dreaming Dexter- Jeff Lindsay. About a cop who kills criminals that can't get caught. It was a good muder book, had some bad language. It wasnt to graffic so that was good. I liked it
  • Moloka'i-Alan Brennert true story of the leprosy island. It was a good book, kinda sad but overall happy and informative
  • The Corner of Bitter and Sweet- Henry Lee Ford . Historical fiction baswed around WWII when the japanese were put in camps. About a Chinese boy and a Japanese girl.
  • The Gurnsey Literary and Potato Pie Society-Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows Historical fiction about gurnsey. Kinda boring, easy to put down, but it was still a good read.
  • The Good Wife Strikes Back- Elizabeth Buchan. Ficton. about a 40-50 something wife who tries to decided "why" she is sticking in her marriage. It was funny and a light easy read
  • Little White Lies- Gemma Townley. A girl moves out to London to change things up. Mail for the previosu tenant is delivered and she opens it up and takes on the life she imagines this previosu tenant would have had. Funny, british author. light read, easy and quick. mindless but kept my attention
