A childhood Shattered! x2

We officially ruined Kailey's childhood. She is big on princesses lately and she got a new pair of PJ's with Tinker bell on them. So she has been asking for a wand "to be like tinker bell" so I made one with a stick and taped a star on top, it looked pretty good, i thought. but apparently she wanted one that did "real Magic" she kept trying to make a crown and it didn’t work and she wanted to make things with her new "magic wand" i tried to explain it was pretend, but that didn’t cut it, she wanted "REAL MAGIC" (mind you she is crying because she doesn’t understand) it was so sad having to tell her all magic was not real and she rebutted with "there is magic on Sleeping beauty and Cinderella... and Tinker bell has magic and wings" (she also wanted Shaun to make her wings so she could fly) i tried to explain it was all fake and cartoons. It was so sad and she doesn’t quite get it and still has been asking for real magic. What do you say? I told her to have her dad explain it because what I was saying wasn’t clicking. So Shaun tried and she still didn’t understand and replied "But Dad, you can do anything" shatter number 2, telling your 3 year old dad's are not all powerful and really can't do everything. SO SAD!!!!! What do you say? She has been totally bummed for the past few days and will randomly say things like " I wish I had Real magic" so sad, we were trying so hard not to laugh as we explained this sad thing to her!
