Another goodbye

Well last night we sent off another friend to Washington. It feels like they are dropping like flies! Allegra and family leave tomorrow for Seattle I finally feel like I got a nice group of friends that are fun easy and low maintenance again and off they go. 

    We met at the Lewis's to jump off their rope swing into the marsh and have hotdogs and s'mores. There were so many kids and music playing we even got used to the sulfur smell of the plugs mud. It was kinda hard getting used to the shrimp and fish biting at our backs but the water was perfect and salty. The snake only came around once and even with the heat from the fire and the humidity it was bearable In swim suits. 

   Allegra you will be missed! Come back and visit. Soon or Else I'm coming to be your neighbor 😜

We celebrated maddies 15th birthday 

I. Hate. Lice.

Well. I think everyone knows it but lice sucks. Last night before bed kailey said "can you check my head" and that was the beginning on my argument with shaun. Obviously he thinks I should do it. But obviously I think he should because lice ruins backs and my back is FINALLY on the mend. This morning I checked 5 kids for lice. I treated 2 and myself. I mean I probably have it right?? And now my back is in pain. I have 2 boys with buzzed heads. 2 girls with short cuts and kailey lost about 7 inches. I will say I'm a pretty good hair stylist at this point. The kitchen, our bedroom and bathroom is a complete mess. But I've done 2 hot loads and treated and checked millions of hairs. My appointment in on Monday☹️

    Tonight we watched a few YouTube videos "speedos" a mock version of the summer hit by Bieber "despicito". Then looked at this old blog for an hour. The kids love hearing the stories and seeing the pictures. You would think with Instagram and 6000+photos on my phone they would be covered but no.  The want the stories. So. I'm going to try again. 

   Yesterday we went to Bee City. Decker almost face planted into he monkey cage after trying to feed one and the monkey jumped at him scaring him off the railing he was not supposed to be standing on. It was totally scary and hilarious watching him go 90% over then somehow manage to get his balance while upside down and not fall at all. The kid is pretty amazing.

   Hunter to dog. Pooped in the house whil I was on a run. He's now banished outside until after we find him a home. I'm sad to see him go. He's a good dog but if we end up moving to Seattle it's for the best. 

   I need deckers snuggles nightly. I love him snuggling me and keeping me warm. And then he starts snoring so loud and sweating like crazy and I put him in the bad dream bed. But until then. He's right next to me. 

    Apparently kailey is my look a like. She grew so tall  and since I do my hair straight apparently we look a like. I'll take it! The girl babysits and saves all her money. She's starting to get moody but most of it is warranted to some degree. Obviously she would prefer a kit Kat over a whatchamacallit and deservedly gets upset when Jordan has 2 KitKats. 

  Shaun successfully made both boys cry today while "playing". Yeah. Sure. Somehow the art of playing gets lost when pillow come flying at your face unexpectedly. 

   Ellie and Jordan cut their hair short. And they. It's look old and different! 6th grade and 2nd grade!!! Decker in kindergarten? How is this happening?

   Life is so slow and somehow has diasappeared.

6-6 Girls get away

Me and 3 other friends Lauren Emily and val, decides to get away for the night. We had a fun adventure canoeing down the river 5 hrs. Camping in a tree house. Making delicious food then canoeing 5 more hours. It was so pretty and so  so so much fun Lauren Emily and val in the kayaks 

It was perfect weather and blue skies 

Our home in the trees. No electricity, bathrooms or running water. But a mouse did scamper across Lauren's face!

6-4 Last days of school 2015

And mom and decker. We are so proud of the girl you are and who you are becoming. Kailey is always so sweet and thoughtful, kind and sensitive and always responsible and smart. She sets a great example for her siblings and her parents. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect oldest child! Love you Kailey, your the bomb!-love mom 

Elders come for dinner!

Jordan and all the kids loved elder Bowles and elder root. We had them over almost weekly it seemed because she kept inviting them!  They were always welcome!

5-31 camp primary!

Being primary president has its perks. We had a blast doing camp primary the weekend before school let out. Crafts, campfire songs, games and more! 

5-27 before summer fun

Ellie finished school a week before the big kids so we went to the beach and pool to rest before summer. 

Decker loved his jacket but didn't hardly need it!

5-25 Happy Memorial Day!

We spent the day on Morris  island with the neighbors. The kids had a blast and who doesn't like boating and watching Shaun wakeboard!!
